(Seguin) -- The Seguin Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is celebrating its 30th year of negotiating business in the city of Seguin. The SEDC recently extended its gratitude to the local business community during its 12th Annual Business Appreciation Luncheon and 30th Anniversary celebration held at the Seguin Coliseum. In addition to thanking the community for its support, the SEDC also honored all outstanding achievements that have driven economic growth and that have fostered community partnerships. SEDC Board President Carlos Moreno says the SEDC plays a pivotal role in progress and in maintaining the business climate that the city has come to enjoy. “It’s an organized approach to making sure that the company, the retail centers, restaurants, housing developments -- that everything that is coming to Seguin is an organized approach with the actual executive director and the team from the actual city and then the constituents which is having a board – members like myself and having an organized approach to getting policy passed and approval of businesses, performance agreements, incentives and things like that, “said Moreno.
