Man dies following roof repair on Seguin ISD building (Seguin) -- A contractor working on the Seguin ISD's Administration Building, formally known as Oak Park Mall, has died. The contractor's name has not been released, but he was reportedly working on roof repairs, when he fell through the roof and into the mall area of the building.
The accident was reported around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the building, located at 1221 E. Kingsbury St. The man was transported to an area hospital, and he was later pronounced dead. The building serves as the site for both Seguin ISD Administrative Offices and Arlan's Grocery.
Drought, wildfires prompt local disaster declaration (Seguin) -- Guadalupe County Judge Kyle Kutscher has issued a declaration of local disaster due to extreme drought and wildfires in Guadalupe County.
