Seguin Police Dept. distributing FREE backpacks Saturday
Back to School rummage sale, haircuts for local students
(Seguin) -- Seguin Police Officers know how having the right tools helps make their jobs easier. They also know that the right tools are also very important for area students as they head back to class. In its quest to ensure that all local students have the right tools to learn, the Seguin Police Department this weekend will be equipping them with full backpacks. The police department is expecting to distribute approximately 250 backpacks during its Second Annual Back to School Backpack Drive this Saturday in the Seguin Coliseum parking lot. Backpacks, pg. 3

(Seguin) – You’ve heard raising kids takes a village. Well, that village here in Seguin continues to press on as it gets kids ready for school. A host of services are being offered this weekend for local families. Kicking things off will be the Refuge III Church. The church will be hosting a school supplies and backpack giveaway on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The church is located at 7535 Elm Creek Road in Seguin. The Wings of Wesley Clothes and Food Pantry of Wesley-Harper United Methodist Church will also be hosting a Free Back to School Rummage Sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Church officials says there will be free clothes and shoes for children and adults plus household items, toys, and a limited amount of free school supplies.
