Pack the Bus collection drive for Seguin ISD students this Saturday Communities in Schools offers six ways to donate Cindy Aguirre-Herrera

(Seguin) – The next time you head into the store, you might want to grab a few notebooks, pencils and folders. Those are among the items that will be needed as the community comes together this Saturday to help Pack the Bus outside the Seguin HEB. Communities in Schools of South Central Texas, an affiliate of the national organization, is leading the drive for the seven campuses that it serves in the Seguin ISD. As a nonprofit, the organization works fulltime in the schools to help students with whatever they need to stay in school and stay focused. Dawn Koehler, CIS director of development, says school supplies are among the list of priority items that are required to keep kids successful in the classroom.

“Things that we do at the beginning of the school year especially and actually all through the school year is provide school supplies for our kids to start off the school year and so, there’s ways to with Seguin kiddos specifically. For Pack the Bus, we have expanded our program this year for donating. You can donate online at our website. Bus, pg. 3
