Get Ready to Glow! Freedom Fiesta to light up this July 5

(Seguin) -- Seguin’s biggest summer celebration returns this Saturday to downtown Seguin. KWED’s annual Freedom Fiesta is back and brighter than ever with music, dancing and a “glowing good time.” The free event will be held
from 6 to 11 p.m. in Central Park. In addition to red, white and blue, this year’s added theme is “Glow Up!” Families are invited to light up the night with glow sticks, necklaces, bracelets and more. Glow, pg. 3

Building lives one house at a time Volunteers came out in full force Saturday for the annual Build for Better Bash at Texas Lutheran University. The fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity successfully included the wall build for Habitat’s 50th home in Guadalupe County. Crews of local businesses, sponsors and non-profit groups were among those hammering away. The Seguin Daily News on Tuesday will begin a series of stories spotlighting Saturday’s events.
