Navarro ISD approves historic compensation plan 2025-2026 school year Cindy Aguirre-Herrera

(Geronimo) -- The Navarro ISD Board of Trustees has approved a historic $2.45 million salary plan for the 2025-2026 school year. It’s a move that district officials describe as the largest investment of its kind in the district’s history. Navarro ISD Superintendent Dr. Mandy Epley says this landmark decision — approved by the

school board this week — delivers significant pay increases for returning teachers. It also boosts starting salaries for new hires, ensures equitable raises across the board for all employee groups, and strengthens health insurance support for all employees. Under the new plan, returning teachers will receive some of the largest raises

in the district’s recent history. Epley says those with one to four years of experience will see their salaries increase by $5,500, while those with five or more years will receive an $8,400 raise. “Honoring those folks who have been in the profession a long time -- I know as I taught – Navarro, pg. 3
