Screening of crime-drama TV series to benefit pregnancy center
Vindication featuring local actresses Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) – Seguin’s connection with a popular faith-based crime drama TV series will come full circle this Thursday as a screening of a couple of its episodes will support a local non-profit organization. Starring as one of the lead characters in the series “Vindication” is Peggy Schott, a Seguin resident and volunteer with the South Texas Pregnancy Care Center. The actress tells KWED Radio that a special benefit screening of a couple of the show’s episodes this Thursday at the Texas Theatre will help fund the non-profit group’s efforts. The series, currently streaming on platforms such as Pure Flix, Prime Video, and Redeem TV, is set to return this September with Season 3. Schott, who has starred in several films and shows, including “Fear of the Walking Dead,” says she is excited to pair her role as an actress

with the very important mission of Seguin’s pregnancy care center. “I will be there. One of the other actresses actually lives in the Seguin area also. Her name is Venus Monique and she plays Detective Kris Tanner. She will be there and when I let the lead actor Todd Terry know who plays Detective Travis that we were doing this, he said ‘oh, I want to be there.’ So, he is driving in from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and he will be there also. So, people can meet the three lead actors and then also Janice Weaver from the pregnancy center will be there and she can answer all sorts of questions about what’s going on at the pregnancy center,” said Schott. Schott says she has enjoyed her role on the TV show and looks forward to sharing more about her character, Becky Travis, the wife of the lead detective in the drama series. Series, pg. 2
