Seguin mourns the loss of Councilwoman Mendez Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) -- The city of Seguin is mourning the loss of a current member of the Seguin City Council. District 2 City Councilwoman Sonia Mendez died on Tuesday after a battle with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The city released a statement announcing her death, saying that it was saddened to learn of her passing and it was mourning this immense loss for the community. Flowers were placed at her seat during Tuesday night’s meeting of the Seguin City Council. Councilman Jason Biesenbach was among those to speak briefly about Councilwoman Mendez during the meeting.
