Guadalupe County
to host BULK Clean-up Event Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Guadalupe County) – Guadalupe County will be giving all residents an opportunity to declutter and dispose of their unwanted junk during this weekends’ first ever Bulk Clean-Up event County officials ask that folks start planning for the event scheduled between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, June 8 at the Road and Bridge Department. County officials say the facility is centrally located in Seguin at 310 IH 10 West Frontage Road near the Guadalupe County Jail. Carmen Davila, the public information officer for the county, says although the event is
free, Guadalupe County residents much show proof of residency such as a photo ID or utility bill. Davila says she hopes residents will take advantage of cleaning up their yards and properties. “This is the first attempt for the county to have a bulk cleanup event like this for the residents to be able to bring bulk items, trash, junk, debris, large items to be able to dispose of in order to keep the environment safe and clean,” said Davila. Although the county is ready to take these items off their hands, Davila says there is an “accepted items list” that has been provided by the waste company. Clean-up, pg. 3
