Waves to come crashing in for 2023 summer pool season Pool to be closed an extra day Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) -- Get ready to dive into summer with this season’s opening of the Seguin Wave Pool. The pool will officially open this Memorial Day weekend, operating Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The season will continue through Sunday, Aug. 13. Last year, the city’s park and recreation department, reopened the pool after undergoing some much needed improvements. Erica Taft, the assistant parks director, says last year’s relaunch of the pool and summer success makes this year’s upcoming water season even more exciting. However, one important thing to note this year will be the days of operation. Taft says the pool, which has normally been closed on Mondays, will be closed an extra day. “This year, we figured out what works and we are not really making any other changes other than being closed an extra day. We want to make sure that people had the best experience, and that staff are rested and rejuvenated and that (they) are not too tired from having a really hectic week,” said Taft. Pool, pg. 3
