Guadalupe County announces plans for first-ever bulk trash clean-up day

(Seguin) -- Guadalupe County residents are being encouraged to mark their calendars for what the county hopes will be the first of many bulk trash collection days. Similar to Seguin’s city clean-up days, the county is finalizing plans for its own summer collection effort. Guadalupe County Public Information Officer Carmen Davila says officials have been working to provide the service to county residents. She says not only is there a need for disposal services for regular household trash, but over the years, residents have struggled with debris left behind by storms that have rolled through the area, including the storm that hit parts of the county earlier this month. “So, when we had the closing of the collection stations when we didn’t have anyone bid on those contracts to continue to leave those collection stations in Marion and Kingsbury, Trash, pg. 3
