Today marks last day of early voting Seguin, Marion ISD voters among those heading to the polls Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) – Today is the final day to cast your ballot early in the Saturday, May 6 Election. Voters will tackle their respective city, school and/or water control improvement district ballot items. Guadalupe County Elections Administrator Lisa Hayes says although each of the various races throughout the county have pulled in voters to the polls this past week and a half, she encourages even more of them to come out and take advantage of the early voting convenience. “We definitely want the voters to take advantage of the last day of early voting. Election Day is this Saturday this year and the May election is always a Saturday, and it seems like there are so many things that we have to do as families and parents and people who work and things like that -- that Saturdays can be a little hectic so take advantage of this Tuesday, last day of early voting and come out and vote. I always think that if the voters can vote during early voting, it makes things just a little bit easier on election day because there is a certain contingent of voters that don’t have any choice but to vote on election day and so we like to have anyone who can vote early vote early. I think it just makes things a little bit more relaxed at the polling place,” said Hayes. Voting, pg. 3
