Early voting in May 4 election underway !

(Seguin) - Early voting begins today in the Saturday, May 4th election. Voters are reminded that this is not early voting for the Republican Primary Run-off Election. That will take place closer to the election in late May. Lisa Hayes, the Guadalupe County Elections Administrator says this May 4th election will include ballot items from cities, schools, and political subdivisions. She says she strongly encourages voters to check with the elections office if they are not sure if they reside in a jurisdiction that will be holding an election on May 4th. “Because the county itself isn’t holding an election for county level races, so there will be voters who don’t have a ballot for the May 4th election so it is really important that they come and get a sample ballot and the easiest thing to do is come to the

elections office. They can also go out to the early voting locations and the poll workers can look them up and find their sample ballot but there will be a little difference because some voters won’t have anything to vote on until we get to the Primary Runoff in the end of May,” said Hayes. Hayes says voters should take note of the following entities and see if they live within their service area. “Some of the entities that we will see in this election will be the Guadalupe MUD 6, Lake Dunlap Water Control Improvement District, New Braunfels ISD, Springs Hill SUD, the city of Selma, Navarro ISD, the city of Santa Clara, Universal City and Sky Ranch Municipal Utility District. So there is a wider range of districts that we don’t always see in the May election this year,” said Hayes. Navarro, pg. 3
