The Voice of Seguin WEEKEND
EDITION
TODAY
Time to make room for Spring City of Seguin to host free clean-up day this weekend Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) -- This again is the weekend to tackle that spring cleaning. Helping residents get rid of all their unwanted junk will again be the city of Seguin. The city will be hosting a Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday in the Seguin Coliseum parking lot. Jennifer Sourdellia, the city of Seguin public information officer, says all residents have to do is pack up their
trunks, trucks or trailers and bring proof of residency such as a photo ID or utility bill to prove they reside within the city limits. "This is such a great service for residents that live in our Seguin city limits because this is an opportunity for them to bring unwanted items. Maybe they've cleaned out their garage. communications officer for the Seguin ISD, says a number of fun activities will be held in conjunction with the kite flying. “This event is an opportunity for our students, our families to come out and just kind of have a family fun day. There will be music and games, vendor booths, food truck options as well as free food opportunities,
arts and crafts, and of course, kite flying and of course, we will have opportunities for our students in attendance and our families in attendance to make kites and fly them that day. So, let’s hope there is a little bit of a breeze on Saturday. Again, this event is free and open to the public,” said Hoffmann. Kites, pg. 4
