Families invited out to Community Kite Festival Seguin ISD, Seguin Parks Office to host event Cindy Aguirre-Herrera
(Seguin) -- Get ready to fly the highest kite that you can at this year’s Seguin ISD Community Kite Festival. The school district will again be relying on the wind for its annual tradition this Saturday at Manuel C. Castilla Park. The Kite Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Allison Seidenberger, the director of Seguin ISD’s ACE After School programming, says what began three years ago is now a large scale event bringing all families together. “In year one, it just started as a brainchild
between the Seguin Independent School District and the city of Seguin Parks and Recreation Department and we really wanted to create a positive experience for families to come out and not only bond within their family unit but also within the Seguin community as a whole and so we have been really fortunate that the last two years, we have had really nice weather day of and had anywhere between 500 to 600 individuals participate and enjoy the activities,” said Seidenberger.
