Director Of Security Important Notice For Residents: Alarm Permits By Ebenson Bristol
Attention: Residents Boca Pointe • If your home security system is monitored by Alarm Partners, please be aware of an important requirement. The Palm Beach County Sheriff ’s Office (PBSO) will not send deputies in response to an alarm activation unless you have a valid PBSO annual alarm permit.
Why This Matters
• This policy is designed to reduce false alarms and ensure law enforcement resources are used effectively. • Having a valid permit ensures your household remains protected in the event of a true emergency.
How to Stay Compliant • Contact Alarm Partners at 561-395-4230 for assistance with your permit status. • Call the PBSO non-emergency line at 561-995-2800 for information on how to obtain or renew your yearly permit. • Make sure your permit is renewed annually to avoid lapses in coverage.
Community Reminder Maintaining a current alarm permit is an essential step in protecting your home and family. Take a moment today to confirm that your permit is up to date. Wishing all residents of Boca Pointe a joyful and healthy New Year.
• Without a current permit, your alarm signal will not result in a sheriff’s response.
From The Desk Of Commissioner Marci Woodward A Message from Marci As 2025 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on an incredible year of service and collaboration. Being your Palm Beach County Commissioner continues to be a rewarding, challenging, and eye-opening experience. From navigating complex issues to celebrating community successes, this year has been full of learning, growth, and progress. Thankfully, my amazing staff, county colleagues, and countless community partners have helped me navigate the sometimes-choppy waters of local government. This year, I really focused on projects that make a tangible difference in our community, things that improve safety, strengthen neighborhoods, and enhance everyday quality of life for District 4 residents. One initiative I’m especially proud of is the Homebuyer Match Program, a pilot that helps make homeownership more attainable by matching a buyer’s investment dollar-for-dollar, up to
$50,000, to help with down payments, closing costs, and other purchase expenses. I also spent a lot of time working on community-specific improvements. At Milani Park, I partnered with the Town of Highland Beach to phase parking in a way that balances town concerns, preserves the area’s character, and protects important historical and archaeological features. On the transportation side, I helped advance the Countywide Transportation Master Plan, which lays out a shared vision for safer, more connected, and coordinated multimodal transportation across our municipalities. On a more local level, I worked directly with residents and cities to get things done, helping expedite the installation of a long-awaited fountain in a Boca Del Mar lake and collaborating with the City of Boca Raton on upgrades at Wildflower Park under the Palmetto Park Bridge. Street safety has also been a priority; after a tragic car accident, I initiated a street safety study to evaluate striping, tree placement, turning lanes, and other factors to make our roads safer for everyone. I’ve also focused on removing barriers where I can. After hearing from a constituent, I kicked off research into updating the County’s Unified Land Development Code to make it easier and more affordable to host green markets through an annual temporary use process.
