Bruce Springsteen’s Legendary Drummer To Headline April 30th “Jukebox Concert Experience”

For Jewish Federation At The Studio

The Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County will host “An Evening with Max Weinberg” on Thursday, April 30th, at 6 p.m. at The Studio at Mizner Park featuring the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame drummer’s highenergy interactive “Jukebox Concert Experience.” With a career spanning five decades, Max Weinberg is best known as the longtime drummer for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. He has also served as bandleader for late night TV Host Conan O’Brien and toured internationally with his own ensemble. Weinberg’s signature Jukebox Concert Experience is a fully interactive performance in which the audience creates the setlist in real time. Using a video menu of more than 200 songs from The Beatles to The Rolling Stones, attendees call out their selections

as Weinberg performs them on the spot, creating a spontaneous celebration of rock’s greatest hits.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with cocktails and light bites, followed by the program, moderated conversation and the Jukebox concert. Tickets are $180 per person. Dietary laws will be observed. Seating is limited and expected to sell out. For tickets and sponsorship information, visit jewishboca.org/maxweinberg or contact alexce@ jewishboca.org.

While the performance promises an unforgettable night of classic rock the evening’s purpose is equally powerful, bringing the community together to support the

Voters Elect Andy Thomson 36th Mayor Of Boca Raton…

Michelle Grau, Stacy Sipple, Jon Pearlman To City Council

At a City Hall “swearing in” ceremony on March 31st, outgoing Mayor Scott Singer—who had served the maximum allowable limit of three terms as Mayor— officiated the formal oaths of office to the newly elected Mayor Andy Thomson and to each of the three newly elected members of the City Council: Michelle Grau, Stacy Sipple and Jon Pearlman. The fourth City Council

member, Yvette Drucker, will continue in office until November, when she plans to run for countywide office. Mayor Thomson had formerly served on the City Council before running for Mayor. Voters rejected both Ballot Measures: the re-location of the Police Department Headquarters and the proposed Downtown Government Campus project that had been an important component of the City Council’s plans to help resolve Boca Raton’s administrative and structural needs.

Spring Into A Dating Evolution

“True love is an infinite resource; instead of depleting with use, giving love multiplies it.”~~ Antoine de SaintExupéry

In 2026, the journey from SINGLE to TAKEN looks wildly different from what it was in the past. If you are reading this article, this is your cue to make an upgrade and multiply your odds. Simply put, you can’t outrun the dating dilemma unless you take action. With unlimited options, dating apps, and overt independence, quality singles have become more intentional about who they invest their time and energy in—and they have chosen to increase the odds of success by using better judgment and making better choices. There is an anecdote. Welcome to your evolution.

Our role is to make the dating process more refined, efficient, enticing, and ultimately more successful. Each journey follows a familiar path: “I’m ready” → dating → relationship → forever. The journey is as organic as being introduced by a friend. For some, the cycle repeats a few times. For others, the timing, alignment, and readiness all click—and “forever” sticks quickly as in the case of some of our couples that were “one and done.” These relationships are built with clarity, compatibility, and timing—all key factors that matter now more than ever. At Revolution Dating, our goal is consistently consistent: to create meaningful, lasting connections and friendships. The goal is not just dates, but alignment. This can happen in one moment IF you position yourself to be in the right place at the right time with the right associations. As you kick off your evolution, it is essential that you maintain an open mind and heart.

If you are TAKEN, do share your love and this article with your single family and friends. Someone needs to hear this good news today. Pass on the love, and it will multiply.

Evolution Stage One: Admit “I’m Ready”

This stage can begin at any age, 25 to 85. The desire for companionship is timeless and ageless. The emotional feeling of being connected to one special person is priceless. When the internal “void” becomes louder, it’s not something to ignore— it’s something to honor. This is your push to get proactive with your dating life, just as you do with your business affairs. No one is going to come knocking at your door, and the dating apps are a roadmap to exhaustion and disappointment.

At this stage, ask yourself:

• What do I truly want?

• What works for my lifestyle?

• What am I no longer willing to tolerate?

• Are my expectations fair? (I.E. Do you know your league or are you blocking yourself?)

Evolution Stage Two: I’m Dating

This stage has evolved the most in recent years. You may be meeting multiple people or focusing on one promising connection. Either way, this stage is about exploration without commitment. There are no labels yet, and expectations should remain realistic. In today’s world, this phase can last anywhere from a few weeks to several months. The key difference now? People are quicker to assess compatibility (often inaccurately). Time is valuable, and successful singles are not interested in staying in the “gray area” for long. Clarity is the new confidence.

Evolution Stage Three: I’m in a Relationship

This is where things become defined. The conversation happens—whether it’s “I love you” or “let’s be exclusive”— and it’s mutual. In 2026, exclusivity carries more weight. With so many options available, choosing one person is a powerful decision. It reflects judgment, respect, and emotional availability by choice. This is the stage where couples begin to integrate their lives. They show up together, build routines, meet each other’s circles, and begin to envision the future. It’s exciting, energizing, and yes—this is the honeymoon phase. But it’s also where authenticity starts to take over. As real life settles in, this is where true compatibility is revealed.

Evolution Stage Four: Forever

For some, this means marriage. For others, especially those who have already experienced marriage or have families, it may look different—but the commitment is just as meaningful. In today’s dating culture, “forever” is less about

tradition and more about decisiveness. Choosing one person consistently, over time. The most successful relationships we see are not built on perfection—they are built on sincerity, effort, and alignment. The endgame for authentic dating has never changed: finding one person who feels like home. When you reach this stage, the desire to “see what else is out there” disappears. You’ve found your person—and that is the goal. It is time to graduate as a duo.

At Revolution Dating, this remains our mission for every client: not just to date, but to arrive. You have arrived because you are reading this column. Congratulations! Reserve your evolution today by calling our office or visiting our website. Wishing you the best spring holiday season filled with creativity, new opportunities, and community.

Scott Singer: In The Community… State Of The City

Scott Singer served very successfully as the 35th Mayor Boca Raton, having been elected and re-elected until term-limited, receiving the highest vote totals for Mayor in the city’s 100-year history. Scott, who is a South Florida native and lives with his wife, Bella, and their two children in Broken Sound, has announced plans to run for the U. S. House of Representatives in Washington D. C. in next November’s election as a way to continue his public service, this time to an even wider Florida constituency.

Prioritizing public safety. Public safety is the bedrock of our city. Keeping our streets, schools and neighborhoods safe has always been a top priority. I was proud to consistently vote for greater funding for our Boca Raton police and first responders. Focusing on public safety has paid off. Over the past several years our already low crime rates have continued to decline from what were forty-year lows. Since 2018 crime has fallen by 25 percent, an amazing figure when other cities have seen rises. We cooperate on joint task forces with other federal, state and local agencies to keep our residents safe.

In 2025 our Police Services Department became the first agency in the state among hundreds undergoing accreditation to achieve Excelsior status for the sixth time. Our Fire Rescue Department once again achieved the ISO Class 1 rating, the highest rating awarded in the nation. Our first responders are the everyday heroes who keep Boca Raton safe.

Reducing taxes. Affordability is a concern for everyone, which is why I consistently voted to lower the millage rate annually to keep taxes low. Boca Raton charges less than our neighbors for taxes, water, and sewage and fire fees. In fact, we are proud to say we have the lowest millage rate of any full-service city in the state of Florida. We always balanced our budget, invested more than a billion dollars into infrastructure, enhanced our strong reserves and maintained our coveted AAA bond rating—a higher rating than the federal government has.

Supporting public schools. Ensuring Boca Raton is the best place to work, live, play and learn, we expanded the city’s support for public schools by making improved and stronger schools a city priority. We can be proud of our hustle to obtain a new public school through an innovative plan I launched to partner with the Palm Beach County School District to build a new public school on city land, adding the city’s first new school in more than a decade. The new Blue Lake Elementary School added nearly 1,200 student seats and enabled two vital school rebuilding projects to be completed on schedule. We have also strengthened our relationship with Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University as we develop the future talent of our city.

Investing in our future. As parents, we hope our kids return home to start their careers and families, which is why I have championed expanding economic development initiatives to attract thousands of high-paying jobs to Boca Raton and pave the way for our next generation. In 2025 alone we supported five economic development projects, totaling about 600 jobs and nearly $90 million in capital investment, reinforcing Boca Raton’s position as a premier business destination.

Over my tenure we have attracted thousands of highpaying jobs and strengthened our city’s reputation as a city that welcomes innovators and job creators, including just this month with an agreement for a quantum computing leader who is bringing at least 100 jobs paying at least $125,000 each per year and continuing the high-tech innovation that is central to our city’s history. Dozens of publicly traded companies are headquartered in our city and new businesses are opening in Boca Raton because we cultivated an environment that fosters investment and opportunity. This must continue to ensure the quality of life we enjoy.

Increasing mobility. To help attract and grow our regional and national business footprint I recruited Brightline so that they could add a high-speed rail station to our downtown. I worked for greater federal funding to add this vital improvement. This game-changing connector to a major transportation network enhances mobility for residents and businesses. Over time it should pay even more dividends as Tri-Rail looks to expand to these tracks. The station is often cited by business owners as a draw and has served as a catalyst for new offices. This year, increased routes were lauded by frequent riders. Enhancing Parks and recreation. Many of our most meaningful moments and memories occur on our

playgrounds, ball fields, parks and beaches. Adding to our portfolio of recreation and enhancing our quality of life has been a top priority.

In my first year I proposed a waterfront master plan that led to the opening of Hillsboro El Park South and worked for years from design sessions to the opening of Wildflower Park, home to new community programming and a link from our downtown to our oceanfront. We also renovated Silver Palm Park and restored Rutherford Park and Lake Wyman with new boardwalks, kayak trails and launches, thousands of new trees, an observation pier and recreational features. Together, these four new or improved waterfront parks add to the 49 parks and expanded playing fields that have made our Tree City USA even greener.

Upscale Resale

Communication and collaboration. This column is only one of the opportunities we have arranged to better inform and engage residents since I first pushed for a communications department in my first year that has grown to regular updates and beloved community events. We continue to work to add events and facilities that bring our residents together. Serving as Mayor of Boca Raton has been the honor of my lifetime. I’ve gladly worked nearly a full-time schedule for this so-called “part-time” office because public service is a labor of love. I look to continue my service as a Representative in the United States Congress. In addition to that I will continue to look for all the ways possible to serve you and our beloved community, whether as a candidate for United States Congress or as your neighbor. Thank you for being a part of our great city.

A New Standard In Vision Care Arrives In Palm Beach County

A new chapter in ophthalmic care is unfolding in Palm Beach County, and it is redefining what patients can expect from surgical vision correction.

See Vision Eye Institute is proud to announce the opening of its state-ofthe-art, six-bed officebased surgery center. Thoughtfully designed as an extension of the practice’s commitment to exceptional outcomes, the center is located within its newly built, modern facility and features two fully equipped operating rooms to support precision, efficiency, and patient safety.

This milestone reflects a deliberate decision to elevate both the quality and delivery of surgical care.

“At See Vision, our goal has always been to raise the standard of care in our community,” says Dr. Jason

Gorscak, founder and surgeon. “This surgery center allows us to control every aspect of the patient experience while maintaining the highest level of clinical quality. It’s the environment we would want for our own families.”

The new center offers advanced cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange (RLE), and EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens). These procedures are tailored to each phase of life, whether restoring vision affected by cataracts or providing refractive solutions that reduce dependence on glasses and contact lenses.

Unlike traditional outpatient surgery settings, an office-based surgery center allows for greater consistency in care. Patients are treated by the same highly trained team from consultation through surgery and recovery. This continuity reduces variability, enforces safety, and creates a more personalized experience.

That consistency is reflected in the practice’s outcomes and reputation. Since opening, See Vision Eye Institute has earned hundreds of 5-star patient reviews, with patients frequently highlighting the attentiveness of the team, the clarity of communication, and the confidence they feel throughout their surgical journey.

“Every aspect of our new facility has been designed to support both clinical excellence and patient comfort,” explains Dr. Gorscak. At See Vision, advanced technology is paired with a calm, private environment that allows

patients to feel at ease on the day of surgery. The result is a setting that prioritizes focus, efficiency, and individualized care.

The office-based surgery model also allows for greater scheduling flexibility, helping patients move forward with surgery on timelines that align with their needs, without the delays often associated with larger institutions.

“This is about elevating and modernizing the patient experience,” Dr. Gorscak adds. “We’ve always been committed to delivering excellent care. Now we’re able to provide that same high standard of clinical excellence in an environment that fully reflects the experience our patients deserve.”

As See Vision Eye Institute continues to grow, this new surgery center represents a meaningful step forward. It reflects a commitment not only to innovation, but to delivering care that is precise, personal, and consistently excellent.

Residents of Palm Beach County are invited to experience this new standard firsthand. Private tours of the facility are available for those interested in seeing the center and learning more about their options for vision correction.

Medications For Erectile Dysfunction And Adverse Effects

When Viagra was first introduced to the market the demand was overwhelming. The first time I prescribed it I gave it to a 60-year-old male. The next morning, I received an unexpected angry phone call from his wife saying she had been enjoying sexual abstinence and was annoyed I had helped her husband without asking her first. Lesson learned! I never made that error again always asking “Have you discussed it with your partner?” before writing a script.

Several weeks later, I received my first phone call from a gentleman who experienced blue vision and a headache post coitus. We joked about him having sex in costume with a Smurf but research revealed why this occurred. It seems

that while the Viagra was increasing penile blood flow, it was reducing blood flow to the optic nerve. With a lack of blood and oxygen, vision turns blue. This was a clear-cut indication that Viagra was not for this gentleman.

Over the years Viagra has been joined on the market by Cialis and a host of generic copycats you can purchase online without a prescription. Cialis, or its generic version Tadalafil, is now used daily in men with large prostate glands to improve urinary function.

I bring this up because generic Viagra, Sildenafil, was recently studied by the Cornell Weill Medical Center with Jaffee Shah leading the study. They looked at almost 209,000 men, with an average age or 54.5, using Sildenafil and compared them to a group of similar size and age not using these products. They found that Sildenafil increased the chance of a serious retinal tear by 54% over a oneyear period. The actual number of serious retinal tears that occurred during that one-year study was exceedingly small. No cause and effect was demonstrated but the fact that the

drug has been implicated in diminishing blood flow to the eye might be something to consider.

With the small number of actual torn retina, I am not going to stop prescribing Sildenafil for erectile dysfunction (ED) but certainly wonder how it affects older men and will discuss this potential with my patients. I additionally wonder about the wisdom of using daily Tadalafil for prostate issues in older men and will suggest they talk to their urologist about other options.

Safer Communities Start With Year-Round Tree Care Across Palm Beach County

Trim Regularly, Stay Safe

When storms threaten Palm Beach County, many residents rush to trim their trees. The instinct is understandable, but the timing is risky. Cutting branches right before severe weather can leave dangerous debris scattered across yards and streets. Those loose limbs can become projectiles in high winds, endangering homes, vehicles and lives.

Why Year-Round Trimming Matters

The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County (SWA) encourages residents to adopt a year-round trimming plan. Regular maintenance strengthens trees, making them more resistant to wind damage. Healthy, well-balanced trees are less likely to snap or uproot during storms.

This proactive approach benefits everyone:

• Homeowners enjoy safer properties and less cleanup.

• Neighbors are protected from flying debris.

• The community sees faster recovery, as crews can collect smaller amounts of debris more efficiently.

How Trimming Reduces Storm Impact

Proper trimming is more than cosmetic. It’s a form of storm preparation. Trees maintained throughout the year are better equipped to withstand high winds. They shed fewer branches, which means less debris cluttering streets after a storm. That reduction allows neighborhoods to be cleared more quickly, restoring normalcy sooner.

Timing Makes The Difference

Arborists recommend trimming during a tree’s dormant season or well before storm season begins, making the ideal trimming window Dec. 1 through April 30. This gives trees time to heal and grow stronger before facing severe weather. By contrast, trimming immediately before a storm leaves fresh cuts exposed and creates piles of debris that may not be collected in time.

A Shared Responsibility

Storm preparedness is more than stocking supplies and securing shutters. It includes taking responsibility for the

environment around each home. Every resident who commits to year-round trimming contributes to a safer, cleaner and more resilient Palm Beach County.

When storms pass, crews work tirelessly to remove debris. The amount they face depends on choices residents make before the storm arrives. By trimming regularly, residents help lighten the load, speed recovery and protect their neighbors.

Learn More

The SWA provides resources to guide residents in proper tree care, unincorporated Palm Beach County pickup

guidelines and storm preparation. For pickup guidelines in unincorporated Palm Beach County, visit swa.org/yardwaste. Visit swa.org/storm to find trimming information and learn how you can help keep our community safe.

Closing Thought

Storms are inevitable, but dangerous debris does not have to be. With a year-round trimming plan, residents protect their property, safeguard their neighbors and support the SWA’s mission.

Happy year-round trimming!

Dining Out: What’s A Lender’s Bagel?

Hungry Al’s love for food started very young. Never satisfied with his Mom’s dishes, he started to cook his way through her “Betty Crocker Cookbook.”

During the years to follow he spent many hours working in restaurants, both as server and cook, attending cooking classes and traveling the world in an effort to expand his palette. As a professional writer, Hungry Al offers his perspective on current food trends and guides you through your local restaurant options.

Food for Thought: When I was growing up there were only two places to get a bagel. One was my local Jewish Deli, Ettie’s, and the other the A & P supermarket where you could grab a frozen package of Lender’s bagels. Fast forward to today and there now is a bagel joint on more corners than a CVS.

Unfortunately, most of today’s deli establishments have little resemblance to those we grew up with. Gone are the famous Carnegie and Katz’s Delis. Factually, the number has dwindled from over 1,500 New York delis in the 1930s to only 20 now. What went wrong?

With the introduction of bagel chain stores I’m sure all of us have experienced at least one, if not all, of Einstein Bagels, Offerdahl Bagels and Brooklyn Water Bagels. And just like sushi, steak and pizza we all choose our own corners on what’s the best. But what most of these establishments do not have is a menu that offers much more than a bagel and your flavored schmear. Most of these restaurateurs have tried but failed to conquer the

very fickle local crowd who demand their lox be sliced thin. Fortunately, we now have a place that knows how to go beyond a standard bagel or bialy. Welcome to Bagels With Deli!

This all came to fruition today as I’m eating at Bagels with Deli. Ahh…I can taste that peppery lean fresh pastrami, that perfectly half-sour garlic-brined barreled pickle, the flavor-packed chicken noodle soup, and a classic finish with a chocolate rugelach.

First Impressions: Thankfully, this owner knows how to build out a floorplan that works. The open airy footprint is light, bright, accommodating and functional. There is no wait staff, but there is an overabundance of help to deliver pre-order plates, clear tables and answer any concerns you might have. All you need to do is place your order at the counter, pay the cashier and head to any table inside or out that feels right. So if you’re here for breakfast, lunch or a take-out before 4:00 pm for dinner you’re not going to be disappointed.

Straight from the Deli Counter: Thankfully, after two visits to Bagels With Deli, Hungry Al and Hungry D were able to taste our way through a good portion of the menu. So let me briefly give you a good idea of what to expect when you arrive to relive your youthful memories of a Jewish Deli.

Are you coming to enjoy a full breakfast? Whether you are here for a simple bagel or muffin you won’t be disappointed in either portion or quality. First, the portions are huge enough to fulfill a Yellowstone cowboy’s morning hunger. Either eggs any style or a three-egg omelet ($15) along with bagel/toast, home fries and tomato slices will certainly hold you until dinner. The Smoked Fish Platter: whitefish ($16) or the sliced Nova ($18) is more than adequate to feed three people.

If that’s not enough choices for you I suggest you try one of their many egg sandwiches. They were so big that Hungry D had to take half of it home. Either with egg or just egg whites I’m sure you are going to be pleased with these breakfast treats.

Here for lunch or dinner take-home? Bagels With Deli is much like a Greek diner’s menu. It takes you 15 minutes to read it and another 15 minutes to decide what you want! For you traditional deli meat eaters, you’re

going to love the hot pastrami, corned beef, turkey and rare roast beef sandwiches. Firstly, most everything here at Bagels With Deli is made-in-house. And secondly, all the sandwiches are massive in size. I’m still eating through half of my turkey sandwich I took home and it’s now two days later.

If you lean more to the salad choices you know what to expect: egg, tuna, whitefish, chicken and even a lobster, shrimp and crab salad. All are excellent. Wait, I’m not done! You also have many interesting and tasty deli wraps. Hungry D still hasn’t stopped raving about her Great Greek Wrap ($15). There’s also a selection of Paninis and I recommend the Chipotle Chicken Panini ($16).

What’s left to eat? For those of you watching your waistline or lost your appetite taking those injections, there is an array of Salad Bowls ($16) or even Power Bowls ($12). From an Alaskan Salmon Salad Bowl to a Chicken Milanese Salad Bowl, it will cover your hunger until dinner time. If none of their signature salad choices appeal to you there is a Create Your Own Salad ($14) that will challenge those other fast food salad establishments. Oh...let me not forget. I was informed that their Prime Burger is a popular pick from the menu. I’m as surprised as you!

From the Cookie Jar: Have a bit of a sweet tooth? I’m sure you know exactly what to expect at a deli when it comes to desserts. My pick would be one of their amazing huge and absolutely delicious muffins. I would love to have their recipe but it’s under lock and key. I was told the most ordered was the Black & White Muffin. They also have a Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie, Rugelach, or the famous deli cookie of all times: a Black & White Cookie ($3.50)

Check, Please: I’m not going to schmear over the fact that I like this place. If you have fond memories of a deli that delivers a great huge sandwich, an amazingly good bagel breakfast, or ample fish salad platter, then Bagels With Deli is going to serve you well. And with the number of customers who are passing through their front door I’m probably not alone in my opinion. So, any way you slice it I’ll take this deli anytime we don’t have other lunch or dinner plans. This Hungry Squad is giving Bagels With Deli a half dozen golden bagels. If you want a Baker’s dozen you’re on your own!

At some point in our lives, most of us have had a moment when we thought to ourselves, “Now that’s karma!” It could be a reaction to something that happened to you after doing a good deed or maybe even a bad one. Life has a remarkable way of reflecting our own behavior back to us. Buddhist philosophy teaches that karma begins in the mind. Our intentions plant the seed and our actions simply allow that seed to blossom.

Karma often works through small interactions. The tone we set with others tends to echo back to us. When we approach life with patience and generosity we often discover that people respond in the same way. When we react with impatience, frustration or negativity that atmosphere can easily spread. Two people might perform the exact same act, yet their intention may spawn a different karma. For instance, a kind gesture that is motivated by the need to help is opposite in comparison to dishonesty, which could result in a harmful outcome. Karma is not about payback or reward, but rather reaping the seeds we plant throughout our lifetime.

My father used to say, “What goes around comes around,” meaning your actions may or may not come back in this lifetime, but karma will catch up even if it affects future generations. The ripples we send into the world may take years—or even generations—to circle back, but they continue to shape the lives of people who come after us. In many cases karma doesn’t arrive as a dramatic moment of justice. Instead, it quietly unfolds as the world begins to respond to the character we consistently show.

I recall someone from my past who demonstrated the definition of bad karma. It happened while I was studying to become an international judge of women’s gymnastics. We put in endless hours of studying and watching videos to prepare for weeklong exams and the pressure to succeed was immense. The person in charge of administering the tests was unscrupulous and seemed to take pleasure in making our stress levels worse. He was dishonest with results, gave answers to people he liked and called out names with scores to further embarrass those who failed.

When he suddenly disappeared no one knew what had happened to him. Only years later did we learn that he was in jail for fraud and mishandling of confidential information. Karma often works this way in everyday life. It isn’t always a sudden moment of justice. More often it unfolds quietly, as the patterns of our behavior shape the responses we receive from the world around us. Good karma, on the other hand, may or may not arrive with fanfare. It grows quietly through small acts of kindness, patience and generosity. Each thoughtful choice starts slowly, and over time the goodness expands. Even the simplest actions can create ripples of kindness that travel far beyond the moment in which they begin. For example, you may remember the story of a homeless man who found an expensive ring in his donation bucket. Rather than pawn the ring for his own benefit he returned it to its rightful owner. A week later he was given a place to live and almost $100,000 in donations. A very unexpected thank you for what may have seemed to him simply the honest thing to do.

We can’t escape from our karma; we have to take ownership of our actions, events and deeds. However, there are ways for each of us to create good karma. Here are just a few ideas to keep in mind:

Be truthful – When you tell a lie you deceive yourself as well as others. Lying leads to more lies, and before you know it you are no longer trusted by those around you. Always be true to yourself. People may not always like what you have to say but they will respect you for your honesty.

Be there for others – Lend a hand; offer your help. Be conscious of those around you and your surroundings. Take time to listen, spend precious moments with loved ones, exercise patience and enjoy the present. Sometimes the most valuable gift of all is your time. How you choose to spend it could mean so much to someone else.

Heal past karma – We are here to be the best versions of ourselves and to learn from our mistakes. When you awaken each day you have a choice to be the person you’d like to see in the mirror. You can choose to be grouchy and complain about every little thing. Or, you can look beyond the surface and be positive. It’s within your power to change your thinking.

In the words of Wayne Dyer, “How people treat you is their karma, how you react is yours.” When someone treats us poorly it reveals something about their character. But the moment we respond the focus shifts to ours. Karma reminds us that, while we cannot control another person’s actions, we can always choose the quality of our own response.
