Throughout all of the past year of 2025 our issues have displayed the City of Boca Raton’s official Centennial logo on our front-page masthead several inches above the space where the words you are reading now appear. In their place, and for all of 2026, a new logo celebrates the 20th year that Boca Club News has been serving our readers since this paper was launched in January of 2007. Little did I realize when I accepted an offer from Seabreeze Publications to take on the position of Editor all those years ago (based on my long career in publishing briefly summarized at the top of my monthly Book Review column) that it would be one of the best decisions of my life, one that has included so many rewarding and fulfilling experiences. With a mission to serve the interests of the members of Broken Sound, St. Andrews and Bocaire country clubs—all of whose members receive every issue to this day—I have the joy and privilege of working with extraordinary club managements and staffs, as well as: a lineup of monthly feature columnists who share with our readers their expertise in a variety of subjects and whom I now count among my most valued friends; elected county and city officials, including Boca Mayor Scott Singer and the City Council, an Administration whose remarkable achievements on behalf of their constituents will be admired a century from now; the heads of county and city social, cultural and philanthropic organizations, and many contacts among the public relations professionals who help keep us informed about events that our readers want to know about. For most of these past years, after the editorial had been prepared for each issue, I worked with the production staff of a related company, Seabreeze Communications, on the west coast of Florida to prepare the paper for the printer. In mid-2025 Seabreeze Communications acquired the east coast Seabreeze Publications entity. The result: Boca Club News is now part of an impressive media company that publishes 17 newspapers on Florida’s east coast and 16 online publications on Florida’s west coast— together serving more than 135 country clubs and communities! And the company has just arranged to provide communications services for two Chambers of Commerce, extending even further Seabreeze’s reach to a wide, interesting and influential audience. I am grateful to all of you for your cooperation and friendship and look forward to continuing our mutually rewarding relationship. —NAS
