t’s up to the California Coastal Commission to decide whether to renew the seasonal rope barrier that separates people from harbor seals at La Jolla’s Children’s Pool now until 2029. The City Park and Recreation Department has submitted a request to renew alternating rope barrier and legal closure at manmade Children’s Pool beach for another 10 years. In March 2014, the City Council approved a ban on public access at the popular manmade beach between Dec. 15 and May 15. The ban is meant to protect seal mothers and their offspring from human harassment during the marine mammal’s annual

District discovers docs showing La Jolla teacher suspected of crime received no discipline BY SARA LIBBY | VOICE OF SAN DIEGO
ewly obtained documents reveal that San Diego Unified investigated and confirmed allegations of groping by a teacher at La Jolla High School but allowed him to continue teaching for another decade, while more complaints built up. The district claimed to Voice of San Diego multiple times over a four-year period that it had no documents regarding complaints against the teacher, but now says it discovered them in a storage room. Even when confronted with evidence in 2017 that it had withheld emails detailing complaints against the teacher, Martin Teachworth, the district continued to insist it had no records at all. Now, four years after Voice of San Diego originally sought documents that would shed light on the students’ complaints and how the district handled them, San Diego Unified officials have provided records showing extensive documentation existed all along and that the district did not provide it, though it was legally required to under the California Public Records Act. The documents reveal a wide chasm between the story the district stuck to for years, and the truth: Not only did it have documents in its pos-

session, those documents show that although district officials considered Teachworth’s actions criminal in at least one instance and believed he engaged in a pattern of troubling behavior, they responded to most incidents by giving him a warning – or by doing nothing at all. In 2003, after substantiating a complaint that Teachworth stuck his hand down a girl’s pants, district officials took no action against him. In the 2012-2013 school year, following several complaints that prompted district officials to call in school police, recommend calling Child Protective Services and to involve district lawyers, officials once again took no action against him. Teachworth has since retired but is now being investigated by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. San Diego Unified did not report any of the misconduct complaints against Teachworth to the state agency. It wasn’t until Loxie Gant [1] and Maura Kanter, two of his former students, reported sexual harassment complaints directly to the state last year that the agency was able to review the allegations against Teachworth. It was during the process of responding to that agency’s inquiries, which included a subpoena, that the district claims it discovered docu-
ments that it never provided in response to VOSD’s requests. “Records were discovered following the consolidation of office and storage space,” San Diego Unified spokeswoman Maureen Magee wrote in an email. Gant and Kanter were among the four women who told Voice of San Diego in 2017 that Teachworth touched them inappropriately [2] in the classroom on a regular basis, including grazing their chest, tickling their stomach and squeezing their hips, thighs and butts. After they came forward, more women also said Teachworth touched them [3] while they were students in his classroom. ‘Investigation findings showed the case to be criminal’ In 2017, Gant told Voice of San Diego that during the 2002-2003 school year, as she walked to the front of the classroom, Teachworth “grabbed my butt, like kind of two times. It was sort of a solid hand and a grab, and it was a one, two to my bottom.” Gant reported the incident to then-principal Dana Shelburne that day, and recounted it again to an investigator several days later. n April, while preparing for Concours d’Elegance weekend, La Jolla Village Merchants Association vetted ways to capitalize on the signature special event. Merchants also re-introduced Enjoya La Jolla, a new monthly Saturday twilight promotional event debuting in May. The 15th annual Concours d’Elegance that featured more than 100 classic and exotic cars on Scripps Park lawn April 14-16 headlined discussion at the LJVMA’s April 10 meeting. “This event is hugely important for everyone,” noted LJVMA president Brett Murphy. Executive director Jodi Rudick said an LJVMA program, Break in the Village, was being held in conjunction with the Concours to promote the Village. “We had 80 merchants signed up to engage in the event, and each of them committed to doing something special in their stores with free refreshments, special discounts, gifts, etc.,” she said. “There are nine places throughout the Village where there’s going to be music happening, along with merchant outreach doing LJVMA-branded balloons and bags.” Following the Concours, LJVMA president Brett Murphy said: “The event, the weekend, and the week

Diego Community Newspaper Group’s Pacific Beach office to continue leading Mission Times Courier and La Mesa Courier. Recently-hired editor Kendra Sitton is also moving to the PB office and will continue her work at San Diego Uptown News. In addition, she is now the editor of San Diego Downtown News, which was formerly under the purview of Fulcher. “The idea of having more regional coverage in the communities and the ZIP codes we are picking up is exciting,” Main said. “We share a lot of common issues with our coastal communities that will tie in directly with Uptown and Downtown. “La Mesa Courier and Mission Times Courier cover well-established, solid communities. It doesn’t get much better than this,” Main said.

The City must be held accountable for the conditions they caused on this beach.”

Improve Your Mental Strength You have to delay gratification. There was a famous Stanford experiment in which an administrator left a child in a room with a marshmallow for 15 minutes. Before leaving, the experimenter told the child that she was welcome to eat it, but if she waited until he returned without eating it, she would get a second marshmallow. The children that were able to wait until the experimenter returned experienced better outcomes in life, including higher SAT scores, greater career success, and even lower body mass indexes. The point is that delay of gratification and patience are essential to success. People with mental strength know that results only materialize when you put in the time and forego instant gratification. Negative emotions challenge your mental strength every step of the way. While it’s impossible not to feel your emotions, it’s completely under your power to manage them effectively and to keep yourself in control of them. When you let your emotions overtake your ability to think clearly, it’s easy to lose your resolve. A bad mood can make you lash out or stray from your chosen direction just as easily as a good mood can make you overconfident and impulsive. You have to lead when no one else follows. It’s easy to
set a direction and to believe in yourself when you have support, but the true test of strength is how well you maintain your resolve when nobody else believes in what you’re doing. You have to focus on the details even when it makes your mind numb. Nothing tests your mental strength like mindnumbing details, especially when you’re tired. The more people with mental strength are challenged, the more they dig in and welcome that challenge, and numbers and details are no exception to this. You have to be kind to people who are rude to you. When people treat you poorly, it’s tempting to stoop to their level and return the favor. People with mental strength don’t allow others to walk all over them, but that doesn’t mean
they’re rude to them, either. Instead, they treat rude and cruel people with the same kindness they extend to everyone else, because they don’t allow another person’s negativity to bring them down. You have to be accountable for your actions, no matter what. People are far more likely to remember how you dealt with a problem than they are to recall how you created it in the first place. By holding yourself accountable, even when making excuses is an option, you show that you care about results more than your image or ego.

Lowell Jooste – who has owned LJ Crafted Wines in Bird Rock with his wife, Anne Jooste, for three years – said that after relocating to San Diego from South Africa, he became inspired by the thriving beer industry here; particularly the breweries' use of growlers. So he replicated the process, first experimenting at home with water until he created a delivery system where he could serve wine directly from the barrel. People who visit LJ Crafted Wines at 5621 La Jolla Blvd., can either enjoy their wine by the glass or take it home in growlers. The goal is to get people to bring back the bottles when they’re finished, so they can be cleaned and used again. “The whole idea is to sell wine and not the packaging,” said Jooste, who believes LJ Crafted Wines is the only wine company in the country doing this. “It’s like we’re going back 100 years ago when you used to take your own container and get it filled.” Because Jooste believes that the concept of producing zero-waste is bigger than his little winery in Bird Rock, he recently got a patent for his by-the-barrel system (which he calls "wine stewards”) for the United States, Italy, Spain,

France, and Germany. He hopes to soon be able to distribute the system to different wineries across the U.S. “There’s a lot of talk about sustainability,” Jooste said. “It’s such a big word, and it includes
everything from how you treat people to if you use harmful products in your wine. For me, single-use packaging is one of the biggest issues, and we’re showing that there’s a way to avoid using it on the retail side.”
Not only is LJ Crafted Wine’s zero-waste concept good for the environment, but Jooste also believes that it’s beneficial from an economic standpoint, due to the time, money and effort that is spent on creating packaging and a brand. “Building a brand in a crowded marketplace is a lot harder than just making wine,” he said with a smile. “Our story here is an environmental story, different from anything else in the industry, so we built a following in just six months.” While a big part of that story is their by-thebarrel service, it’s also how they’ve decorated their space. After losing 30 barrels during the 2014 earthquake in Napa Valley, Lowell and Anne Jooste were close to calling it quits on the business they hadn’t even opened yet. But they persevered and used the destroyed barrels to create a feature wall inside their winery as well as pendant lights that hang over the bar. “We designed [LJ Crafted Wines] around the theory that everything should work,” Lowell Jooste said. “I like to think the concept of what we’re doing here is much bigger than this business, and we’d like to see it repeated a lot more.” For more information, visit www.ljcraftedwines.com.

UCHS student sings for ‘American Idol’ judges University City High School student Mica Giaconi took her musical aspirations up to a new level when she auditioned for TV show “American Idol.” Mica was selected to sing in front of celebrity judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry as part of the top 40 contestants. While unable to reach the finals, Giaconi is not done with her musical career. “I think with every new opportunity or gig, I come close to finding my own style,” she said. “I do think that every musician has their own vibe, and I’m still trying to find that.” Giaconi is active with the UCHS Music Club, and performs regularly with her father Daniel Giaconi at Pesto restaurant on El Cajon Boulevard. We’re sure to hear more of Giaconi’s voice in the future.

hannon Subers always dreamed of being a mermaid. Like most kids who grew up on classic Disney movies, her fantasy started with Ariel and “The Little Mermaid.” But living in Pennsylvania made it a little difficult to get in the ocean and see if she grew a tail. Now a 23-yearold graduate student and education specialist for San Diego Coastkeeper, she has found a way to make her childhood dream a reality not only for herself, but for other people as well. Subers hosts an Airbnb Experience giving out full mermaidmakeovers (tails included) and photoshoots at La Jolla Shores Park guaranteed to make you feel like you're in a Disney movie. While it's an idea she’s always had swimming around in her head, it wasn’t until she graduated college and learned about Airbnb’s new Experiences program before the ball really started rolling. “I almost didn’t apply because I thought they were going to think I was crazy,” she said, looking back. But she made the leap and was one of the 30 people selected out of the 2,000 that applied. More San Diego experiences have been added since, but Subers’ “Play mermaid for the day” was a part of the first cohort. When she was first selected, she had one tail, one top, and no camera. She set out on expanding her tools and inventory with the “no money she had from college,” and started shooting. It was a slow build

at first, but now she’s almost always immediately booked for any days she marks available through the app. After a date is decided, Subers meets her participants at La Jolla Shores Park – or somewhere else if it’s overly crowded – and takes them to her spot on the beach where all the mermaid accessories you could ever want are laid out to choose from. Once the makeover is complete, she’ll walk you down to the water’s edge and help you get into your tail, which is where you’ll stay during the majority of the photo shoot because “you can’t walk, and your range of motion is pretty limited.” And with the photo shoot taking place at sunset, Subers says the
lighting is always good. While some people are more “into it” then others, once she starts shooting, she says everyone tends to forget any insecurities they may have previously had and starts enjoying themselves. “I really try to make people feel as comfortable as possible, because essentially, it’s a glorified bikini shoot,” Subers joked. “One of the most gratifying parts has been seeing people forget about their insecurities for a bit." Watching people have fun with it is especially gratifying for Subers because she’s been there. “I used to never feel comfortable in a bikini in public until I started
doing this,” she said. “Because I realized that when you’re a mermaid, kids don’t care. They don’t care if you have a tummy or what size you are or anything like that. You’re a mermaid, and they're obsessed because you’re a mermaid. That’s really empowering.” Subers’ photoshoots typically last about 90 minutes for 1-3 people (though she can sometimes accommodate larger groups) and cost $85 per person, with the ability to upgrade to a professional-grade tale for $105 per person. COIN FLIP BREAKS TIES FROM LJCPA ELECTION A special meeting March 28 broke two ties that occurred in the voting for La Jolla Community Planning Association’s annual trustee election on March 7. LJCPA is the recognized planning group making land-use recommendations for La Jolla to the City. The top six vote getters in the LJCPA March 7 election, in descending order of votes were: Glen Rasmussen, Dave Ish, Mike Costello, Nancy Manno, Kathleen Neil and Dan Courtney. They will all serve three-year terms. A coin flip between former LJCPA president architect Tony Crisafi and ex-LJCPA board member Jim Fitzgerald went to Fitzgerald, giving him a two-year term and Crisafi a one-year term. A second coin flip broke a three-way tie between Greg Jackson, John Fremdling and Eamon Callahan. Jackson and Fremdling won the toss and were seated. The odd person out was Callahan, who is not precluded from running again for the planning board in the future.

On Feb. 11, La Jolla Troop 506 became a part of this national change by holding its first informational meeting at La Jolla United Methodist Church. Since then, eight girls have joined Scouting BSA (Boy Scouts of America) Girl’s Troop 506g and five of them just returned from their first backpacking trip. Troop 506g, sponsored by the La Jolla United Methodist Church, went on a twoday, 9-mile hike along the Pacific Crest

Scoutmaster Marne Stransky – who got involved in the Boy Scouts after her son joined – said that they learned things like orienting a map, using a compass, filtering water from streams, building rain structures, and starting a fire, which turned out to be a challenge. “Their perseverance was incredible,” she said, smiling. “They did not give up." She said the scouts were so enthusiastic about the trip that some of them even asked to be woken up at 5:30 a.m. to see the sunrise. “It was a bonding experience for them,” Stransky said. “I have a really good group
of girls." One of the driving factors in starting this troop was not only to include girls so they have more opportunities, but to make it easier on parents who traditionally have had only one child in the troop and not the other. After all, what one sibling does, the other wants to do too; which is exactly how 13-year-old Charlotte Norton first got involved. “I’ve tagged along with my brother a lot, so I know how fun the trips are. Facing the vulnerabilities of old age – a story of arrogance and foolishness Doing it Better By Natasha Josefowitz, Ph.D. ere is definite proof that I am both arrogant and foolish. Arrogant because I think I’m 20 years old and there is nothing I cannot do, and foolish because I act on this belief. I had about 500 books on my shelves which I knew I would never read or re-read. I also had about the same number of CDs that I knew I would never listen to. I discovered that the board members of League House, across the street from White Sands, were willing to hold a book fair for their 30 residents and staff and include our White Sands team members. It was the perfect event to which I could donate all my books and CDs. I have to admit: all my life I have had trouble not only asking for help, but also accepting it when offered. So (thinking I am still 20 years old), I took the 500 books off my shelves and packed them into 16 huge boxes ready to be given to League

House. The event was a huge success! Their residents, staff, and our team members took as many books and CDs as they wished. By the end of the day, only four small boxes remained, which were picked up by the Friends of the Public Library. However, something was not right—my back was hurting. Was it from lugging all those heavy books? When the pain intensified, I decided to fix it by exercising and doing stretches, which only made matters worse. Then I had trouble walking. I went to Scripps Clinic for a CT scan, followed by an MRI, and sure enough—I had fractured my sacrum. My orthopedist, Dr. HaiYan Li, told me it would take four months to heal. There was nothing to be done except to lie flat on my back and move as little as possible. The common wisdom is that it takes six weeks for a fracture to heal, but that is for young people. At 92, it is supposed to take longer. But as you remember, I still think I am 20 years old, so I anticipated healing accordingly. Dr. Lazarus, our esteemed inhouse doctor, gave me the choice of either moving to our nursing floor or getting caretakers. I opted for the latter so I could stay in my apartment. Bonnie Simmons of
Good.AtHome swiftly organized everything with wonderful caretakers. Meals were brought to me on trays, which I ate in bed. This all sounded good, except the pain was overwhelming. I couldn't find a position in my bed where I could lie comfortably. Sleep was a problem—lying in one position, unable to move without pain. More than that, I couldn’t tolerate any pain medication. I tried Vicodin and Tramadol, as well as Butrans, Salonpas and Fletcor transdermal patches, and even CBD oil. I also tried Advil, Aleve, and Celebrex; they all made me nauseated and gave me bad heartburn. I took Prilosec and Zantac for the heartburn, which in turn gave me diarrhea. (I’m sure you’re interested in that!) Running to the bathroom with a cane does not work well. Tylenol was the only relief I had, which wasn’t much. Are you feeling sorry for me yet? I was feeling sorry for myself, catastrophizing, “I will remain a cripple all my life,” until Gary Boriero, our executive director, warned me that negative thoughts could influence the outcome of my healing. So I reframed my thoughts into “I will heal. I am healing.” After an energy healer worked on me, I was able to sleep on my side for the first time in
five weeks without pain. I could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it was not New Jersey! I got a wheel chair that reclined (as sitting on my fracture was not advisable), and thus was able to attend in-house meetings while lying down. Going to my first meeting in seven weeks in my reclining wheelchair, I was surrounded by my friends greeting me with joy. Seeing all those happy faces, I realized how much I missed them and how much I love my White Sands family. Is there a lesson here? I need to learn to accept my age and its limitations and take better care of my body instead of abusing it as if it were indestructible. In addition, I have experienced how positive thinking can influence the healing process. However, I am a slow learner and tend to overdo as soon as I start to feel better. After two months, the pain has subsided enough to start rehab. As I’m on my way to recovery, I hope to become a wiser self.

JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE RAISES $1.5M AT GALA The Jewish Family Service of San Diego raised a record-setting $1.5 million at its annual Heart and Soul Gala at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine on April 6. The benefit highlighted the nonprofit’s work to provide resources and support to more than 32,000 San Diegans. All proceeds from the gala benefit JFS’s ongoing efforts to help people in crisis move forward, while developing innovative strategies to break cycles of poverty and strengthen the community. UCHS baseball players assist as ‘buddies’ in Challenger League BY DAKOTA CAMPAGNA | LA JOLLA VILLAGE NEWS
ichard Frink, the head coach of varsity baseball at University City High School, is in his fifth year working with the University City Little League Challenger, a baseball league for young players who have limitations. Frink, who is also in his fifth year coaching at UC, has continued on this partnership after it was started years ago by former UC head coach Will Rivera. “It was something that I inherited,” said Frink. “I got some background to it and then I went, and I was just blown away.” In the Challenger League, all boys and girls who range from youngsters to high school age, and who have physical, mental, or developmental challenges, are encouraged to come play. The entire UC High School baseball program comes out to help, from varsity to JV to freshman, and are known as “buddies” to these Challenger players. “Usually we have enough kids where it’s two high school-level kids to one Challenger kid,” said Frink.

“They’ll play catch with them, show them techniques, and they will basically shadow them throughout the whole game.” A few things that being a “buddy” entails during these games include helping the Challengers swing and helping them run around the bases. Some of the younger Challengers hit off of a tee, but older ones do not. Once a Challenger gets a hit, the UC players then will guide
them running to first base. As the next few plays happen, and as the game goes on, they will also guide the Challengers on when to run to second base, run to third base, and when to run to home plate. Frink and his players take pride in helping with this league, and he loves to see the relationships that form between his own players and the Challengers. “You get to see a different side of them,” said Frink.
“The kids that I coach, they’re passionate about baseball, and the patience they have, and pride they have, just to be able to give to kids who are less fortunate, kids that don’t really know the game. It’s definitely a humbling experience for myself to see it.” Michelle Martin, one of the mothers involved with the Challenger League, has two sons who play for UC High, and another son, Luke,
who used to play in the Challenger League. She used to be the Challenger V.P. player agent on the board for the league, before recently handing it off. “I just wanted the special needs players to be represented, and not forgotten,” said Martin. “Once [Luke] started playing on this team when he was in second grade, he’s developed a love for sports.” Rob Dreher, the head coach for the Challenger team, has been involved with the league the last five or six years. He worked in special education for 11 years and was also the head coach of the baseball team at Clairemont High School for four years. “This is perfect for me,” said Dreher. “It’s a population of children I love to be with, and it’s baseball, something I’ve been involved with my whole life.” Frink and the UC baseball program typically commit themselves to three games a year at Standley Recreation Center. rennen Tice-Beith, a senior midfielder on the University City High lacrosse team, has gotten enthusiastic about an art movement George Condo dubbed “Artificial Realism.” “I just finished a piece (in black ink). I named it ‘The Five Realms’,” says the captain for fourth-year coach C.K. Littlewood’s squad. “I’ve been feeling spiritual a lot lately. The drawing includes the realms of the human, sea, spirits, and sky animals.” The compact Tice-Beith, who goes 5-feet 11-inches tall, 159 pounds, plans to pursue graphic design and abstract painting in college. In Brennen’s understanding of Artificial Realism, a term which Condo coined in the early 1980s in New York’s East Village, traditional European Old Master painting is combined with pop art. It bears a resemblance to Cubism and Picasso.

“(Artificial Realism) contains a political element, satirizing things that are going on,” says the 17-yearold, who helps propel the Centurions’ offense. At this writing early in the Division 2 Eastern League schedule, UCHS was 1-1 in league, 7-4 overall, potentially a jump from 1-7, 11-9 last year. “Our offense is moving much better than last year,” says third-year varsity player Nathan Megura, a junior. “We have all new starters on attack, including Bruno Raynal, Gavin Glick, and myself (all juniors).” In a key 7-5 win at tough Foothills Christian March 22, “Our (offensive) movement was on fire. We were all hyped together. That game really boosted our confidence,” asserts Megura, 17. Senior goalie Jake Parco is another core contributor to the Centurions’ step up this season. Mat Isakovic, a 6-foot tall mid-
fielder, brings a multi-lingual, international flavor to UCHS lacrosse. “I speak Serbian better than French, because that’s what we speak at home,” allows the versatile junior, who contributes on both defense and offense. “He can play anywhere,” says Tice-Beith. “Both my parents were from Serbia. They met in Toronto when they were in college. We moved to Montreal. I went to elementary school there for two years. That’s where I learned French,” explains Isakovic. “I can still speak it a bit.” Isakovic says the Serbian community in San Diego is small, “so everyone knows everybody else. Sometimes I go to the Serbian Orthodox church” as part of a reconnecting within that tight-knit community. “We’re passing better,” he says of the Centurion offense. “We’re playing much more as a team together (than last year). “Coach (C.K.) gives us a specific play during a timeout,

and we’ll go out and execute” in an approach that asks more of the players than in previous years. There has been a progression under Littlewood’s coaching. A role model for Isakovic is NHL defenseman P.K. Subban, who
shares a connection to Montreal having played for the Canadiens, currently playing for Nashville. “P.K. Subban donated $10 million to a hospital in Montreal,” says Mat. “He helped out people there in a big way.”

ishop’s middle blocker Nathan Wu has crawled the Cu Chi tunnels dug by the Viet Cong under Saigon during the Vietnam War. He also walked the path of the Bataan Death March, which his mother’s father was subjected to in World War II. The 5-feet 11-inches tall hitter, who also started in goal for Doug Peabody’s top water polo team, took two Bishop’s classmates on a medical mission to Guatemala with him and his father during winter break. Wu’s present mission: Bringing some of the winning culture that he

has been steeped in in Knights’ water polo to the volleyball program, in which interim coach Kevin Pratt is filling in for Jackie Gomez, out on family leave this season. “Unfortunately, the men’s volleyball program gets overlooked here at Bishop’s, surrounded by so many good teams,” says the earnest Wu, who willingly admits he doesn’t have “the volleyball I.Q. some of my teammates have,” like fellow middle blocker Connor Greisen, the Knights’ 6-feet 8-inches tall power hitter. He sees his role more as mentoring the younger players and filling in where needed. Greisen, who has honed his skills
in club play with elite teammates like Nathaniel Gates of La Jolla High and Donovan Todorov of University City High, agrees the Knights are younger. “We have some new freshmen and sophomores. We get goofy sometimes,” he chuckles. But on court, Greisen goes serious, as he did when the boys from Bishop’s swept Gates and the Vikings 3-0 recently. Noah Lin, the team’s setter, is a 5-feet 4-inches tall pepperpot who stirs things up. “He talks a lot. He’s super loud,” says Connor. Casey Holden, a 6-feet 1-inch tall outside hitter, “almost never talks,” smiles Greisen. “He’s a good passer. He’s a super good hitter. He jumps
super high.” Connor says one of his offensive weapons is the fact he launches many of his spikes back from the net, which makes them harder to block. Also, “Very few people can reach the point where I release my hit--only Nathaniel and Donovan.” The 6-feet 8-inches tall middle continues to try to bulk up his 185 pounds on his father Dana’s steak preparations. “I ate steak three times yesterday,” he reveals. “I put it in a quesadilla.” The sterner Wu contemplates history and its lessons. Having started the history club on campus four years ago, Nathan asserts, “Everyone should know
about things like the Holocaust. We can learn patterns and understand cultures through food, art, how war affects a people.” “My mom (who is Filipina) came to the U.S. as a political refugee,” says Wu. “My dad’s dad fled the Communists in China, emigrating from Shanghai.” “Everyone is holding everyone else accountable on the team,” he says. “Being on time, where we put our toes on the line, buying into team goals.
