This year has been transformational for the School of Business. We continue to establish ourselves as a preeminent center of business education, preparing students to succeed in a complex and rapidly evolving world.
What makes us truly distinguishable is the way we connect learning to purpose. Through the integration of the Life Design Academy into our First Year Experience classes, students are not only gaining knowledge but also developing a clear sense of direction, resilience, and personal vision. Our expanding suite of microcredentials and career credentials ensures that learners—from undergraduates to executives—are equipped with the skills to lead and adapt.
Equally important is the inspiration our community provides. Students inspire us with their achievements—whether placing in the top 2% globally in the Bloomberg Trading Challenge, excelling in case competitions, or applying their talents to real-world consulting projects. Faculty inspire through their research, teaching, and mentorship, advancing knowledge while guiding students toward excellence. Our partners—alumni, employers, and community leaders—add inspiration through their commitment to supporting the next generation of business leaders.
The launch of the Business Xcelerator has further expanded our impact, providing local small businesses access to faculty expertise, and giving students the opportunity to consult with companies and nonprofit organizations. This initiative not only strengthens our ties to the business community but also demonstrates the School’s role as a driver of regional economic vitality.
Together, these efforts make the School of Business not only a place of learning, but a hub of innovation and impact. We are inspirational in the opportunities we create, distinguishable in the outcomes we achieve, and preeminent in our vision for the future.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead as we continue to expand pathways, strengthen partnerships, and inspire success.
Sincerely,
Jess Boronico, Ph.D. Dean, School of Business
