Membership Verification Process Members applying for an international activity or role must obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the International Commissioner, confirming that they are in good standing with Scouting Ireland. Application Process: • •
All applications must be submitted through the official JotForm, available on scouts.ie or by emailing international@scouts.ie. Each request must include an endorsement from the member’s Group Leader.
Review and Approval: • •
Once a complete application is received, it will be reviewed by a member of Scouting Ireland’s staff team. The request will then be forwarded to the appropriate personnel to carry out the necessary membership checks.
Issuance of Letter: • •
If all checks are completed and satisfactory, a Letter of Good Standing will be issued for the specific international event. If there are any concerns or issues that prevent the letter from being issued, the applicant will be informed by email. The communication will include the reason(s) and guidance on any required actions (e.g., completing vetting, safeguarding training, etc.).
