
Phase 1.

Governance & Procedures when Setting up a Fellowship Patrol
1. Recruit Prospective Members (Can be active or retired from Scouting).
2. Decide type of Patrol i.e. Social, Special Interests or Service Projects.
3. Ensure all prospective members are registered with a Scout Group.
4. Have all been Garda or Police Vetted.
5. Have all done or will do Safeguarding Training.
6. Ensure members are prepared to take and do the required training.
7. All members commit to adhere to the Scout Principles, Promise and Law.
Phase 2.
Appoint a Patrol Leader/Chairperson
Appoint a Patrol Scribe/Secretary.
Appoint a Patrol Treasurer
Agree the Name of the Patrol.
Agree the Neckerchief i.e. Colour & Shape.
Design Badge/Logo that will represent the Patrol.
Members complete a Patrol Membership Appl./Consent Form (Maintained by the Patrol).
Compile a Patrol Directory of Patrol Members (Maintained by the Patrol).
Agree Patrol Activity dress. (If decided to have same).
Prepare an Activity & Schedule Plan for the Patrol. +
Submit PL/Chair & Scribe/Sec. details to the Fellowship Patrols Task Team.
Supply Name of Patrol, Type of Patrol &Total Membership
For Events & Activities for publication to Communications@scouts.ie
Information
The Project Team manage the co-ordination of the Fellow Patrols.
The Volunteer and Group Support Core Team have oversight of “Fellowship Patrols”.
Fellowship Patrols are a constituent of FIGS (Fellowship Irish Guides & Scouts)
FIGS is a member of ISGF (International Scout & Guide Fellowship)
Bulletin produced by the Fellowship Patrols Project Team.
Project Team publish Events, Activities and News on the Scouting Ireland Weekly Newsletter.
