The Scout Guide Williamsburg & The Chesapeake Bay, Volume 11

Page 1

VIRGINIA

Editor s Letter

It is with great joy that I welcome you to Volume 11 of The Scout Guide Williamsburg & The Chesapeake Bay. Each year, this guide serves as both a celebration and an invitation—honoring exceptional locally owned businesses, creatives, visionaries, and tastemakers who shape our region, while inviting you to discover and connect with them in meaningful ways.

Within these pages, you’ll meet inspiring entrepreneurs and leaders whose dedication enriches life throughout the Historic Triangle and beyond—from Williamsburg and Yorktown to the Peninsula, Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck, Eastern Shore, and the beautiful communities along the Bay.

This year’s cover holds special significance. Draped in a distinguished shade of blue with a bold red stripe, it offers a subtle nod to Virginia’s year-long commemoration of the 250th anniversary of America’s independence—a reminder that so much of our nation’s story began right here.

As you explore, whether you are a local or a visitor, I hope you’ll use this guide often to discover new favorites, revisit beloved ones, and let our pages inspire everyday connection. When you visit our featured businesses, please tell them The Scout Guide sent you, as those connections help our community thrive. And throughout the year, follow along with us online where we continue sharing stories, features, and local finds.

To our members, thank you! Your belief in your craft and investment in this community make this work truly meaningful. It is an honor to champion your stories.

Cheers!

Set along the calm curve of Carter’s Creek, Salt & Meadow is guided by a deep respect for place, season, and craft. Produce is harvested year-round from the Tides Inn’s on-site farm, while seafood is drawn daily from the surrounding tides, complemented by organic freerange hens, heritage pork, and prime beef sourced from neighboring farms known by name. In both the kitchen and dining room, quiet precision defines the experience, resulting in refined, thoughtful cuisine served in an atmosphere of understated elegance. Unhurried and deeply local, Salt & Meadow is shaped by a devotion to excellence that feels both natural and effortless.
