The “Red chicken” is a birdcall which sounds like a sharp high-pitched air noise.

Wenn ein tremolo angegeben ist – schnelles Wechseln, ohne tremolo – ruhiges Wechseln colour fingering = slow oscillation between different alternate fingerings. when a tremolo is indicated – change fast, if not – change smoothly
This passage based on the piece “Migratory birds” and is a transcription of flying whooper swans. Here you can listen, how the sound should be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEAHxLNyVxw
= gleichmäßiges Glissando: Tonhöhen sind nur als Orientierungspunkte angegeben even glissando: pitches are given only as points of orientation = Zielton, der nicht gespielt sondern gerade nur erreicht wird the final tone in parenthesis, which is not played but only just reached
Without up or down-bow motion, move the bow vertically along the string in the direction of the bridge or nut with a bit of pressure (strings are muted).
Sul G, damp all strings with several fingers at the nut, produce a consistent “rolling” noise – like a subtone. Hold the bow in the fist (ad lib.) to have a better control on this noise. See tutorial here:

Bow on the bridge “white noise”. For the high strings it helps to keep the contact point, when you hook in the bow on one of the edges of the bridge. This functions like a track-guide.
Fagott: Multiphonic Griffvorschlag von Alban Wesley:
fingering suggestion by Alban Wesley:
Ossia für Fagotte ohne Ab/Bb-Trillerklappe: Ossia for bassoons without Ab/Bb trill key: x = Oktavklappe Octave key
Start with low lip pressure (bubbling sound) and filter out with high lip pressure the high g (approx.) You can listen to this sound here: https://youtu.be/uVFeetFcr7E
Griffvorschlag von Wolfgang Rüdiger:
fingering suggestion by Wolfgang Rüdiger:
“The first tone hole should slightly opened when overblowing, i.e. just move the index finger slightly to the left and the finger should be turned ever so slightly to the side (the tone hole is thus almost close, the player has to carefully feel out the right air and lip pressure, sound and finger movement). If the first tone remains close the result is a high B, by slightly opening the tone hole and applying the right balance of air and lip pressure a beautiful multiphonic centered around B will emerge, out of which the a beautifully soft g’ can be developed.” (W.R.)
To produce a slow tremolo, move the tongue horizontally from left to right. It is also known as the “Berio tongue”. The doodle tongue causes a soft, a bit sloppy shape. The word „doodledoodledoo“ is articulated smoothly into the trumpet in an endless loop. Slow tremolo with the valves. While doing this, press the mute firmly. This sound was first used in the opening bars of Elgar Howarth’s instrumentation of Mussorgsky’s Con mortuis in lingua mortua from the “Catacombs”.
Percussion: einzelne Schläge grundsätzlich klingen lassen Egg shaker:
In general, let individual attacks ring
“rushing sound”: soft brush on cardboard box:
Fly swatter (made in one piece) in transparent PVC cover (beat in between two sheets of paper)
Pillow in a thick garbage bag, beaten with thick stick. This should produce a loud bang:
Cardboard gift box on rosined wooden board:
flat = high pitch
large angle = low pitch
Small cardboard gift box on rosined wooden board: rub a cardboard gift box (ca. 18cm x 11cm) against a large stable wooden board that has been rosined thoroughly. You can change the pitch by adjusting the angle (flat=high, large angle=deep), the dynamics can be achieved by varying the pressure and speed. "Rattle" is created by applying more pressure at a large angle. Fix the friction point with the finger of the second hand. See tutorials here:

Edition Peters For more than 200 years, Edition Peters has been synonymous with excellence in classical music publishing. Established in 1800 with the keyboard works of J. S. Bach, by 1802 the company had acquired Beethoven’s First Symphony. In the years following, an active publishing policy enabled the company to expand its catalogue with new works by composers such as Brahms, Grieg and Liszt, followed in the 20th century by Richard Strauss, Arnold Schoenberg and John Cage. Today, with its offices in Leipzig, London and New York publishing the work of living composers from around the world, Edition Peters maintains its role as a champion of new music. At the same time, the company’s historic and educational catalogues continue to be developed with awardwinning critical and pedagogical editions.
