ABOUT US OUR VISION

Scicon Sports was founded in 1980 in a garage near Bassano del Grappa, Italy – the heart of the global cycling industry – with a simple mission: to solve the problem of how professional cyclists could travel with their bikes. Over the years, Scicon Sports has earned the trust of some of the greatest cyclists in history, including Moser, Cipollini, Pantani, Indurain, Bettini, Boonen, Froome, Contador, Nibali, Sagan, and Pogačar. Today, Scicon Sports not only solves problems, but also inspires journeys and adventures for cyclists of all levels around the world.

In 2011, the ASG Group became the main shareholder of the company, accelerating its global expansion. Eight years later, in 2019, Scicon Sports entered the sports eyewear market and quickly became a favorite among cycling champions and enthusiasts. In just over five years, Scicon Sports sunglasses claimed victories at the Tour de France in 2020, 2021, and 2024 with Tadej Pogačar, as well as the World Championships and over 500 other World Tour races. Most recently, Pogačar dominated the 2024 Giro d’Italia wearing Scicon Sports eyewear, adding the prestigious pink jersey to his remarkable achievements.

No fewer than five World Tour teams in the UCI men’s and women’s circuits have used Scicon Sports eyewear, including UAE Team Emirates, NTT Pro Cycling Team, Israel Cycling Academy, Team Astana, and Team BikeExchange–Jayco. Reinforcing its authority in the cycling world, Scicon Sports signed a three-year official product agreement with the Tour de France, supplying bike bags and launching a special collection of limitededition travel bags and accessories.

In 2024, Scicon Sports announced a major development plan for prescription sport glasses, investing significantly in research and development. Its eyewear frames are now engineered to accommodate corrective lenses, including high prescriptions. The range spans lifestyle glasses, optical inserts, and performance sports frames that combine functionality, style, and practicality.

With a presence in over 40 countries worldwide — including subsidiaries in the Usa, Canada, South Africa, and Australia — and a cutting-edge concept lab in Italy, Scicon Sports continues to lead innovation in performance cycling eyewear and stands as the benchmark in bike transportation solutions.
