Our RE curriculum is designed to help our children to develop an awareness of themselves, others and the World around them, and to be respectful citizens whilst considering their own faiths and beliefs. Our approach develops the children’s attitude in terms of wonder, awe, reverence, compassion, curiosity, selfrespect and integrity and enables children to think critically about religion and be aware of the many beliefs that they may encounter.

Links across the curriculum
The RE curriculum also reflects PHSE issues which underpins classroom conduct and we aim to make sure that pupils encounter a graving diversity and belief, both religious and non-religious, as well as cultural and geographical. Religious stories and texts are sometimes linked to English guided reading sessions and outcomes maybe assessed through writing.
