Create an information poster about the history of Bromley, this could include any of these specific areas: Shortlands, Bromley, Beckenham, Bickley
Create a board game showing the key geographical features of Shortlands and journey through the community. Make sure there are opportunities for challenging questions
Create a piece of art showing your local community. This could be your street, the school or your local shops. The art materials are left up to your artistic choice. However, it has to be 2D.
Make a string telephone using two paper/polystyrene cups and a length of string. Record your observations of how sound changes as the distance between two people using the telephone increases. What makes it a fair test? Can you explain how sound travels through the telephone?
Walk in the local area and make observation about the things you notice. Plants, rivers, type of houses, shops? Are there things that you’ve never noticed before?

As we begin to study the Jewish festival of Passover, can you research links between this festival and the topic of Ancient Egypt that we studied last term. There are many links!
Using the ToDo on PurpleMash,(See turtle race example) create a coding game to look like the local area. It has to include, Valley, train station and Bromley town.
Design and build a 3D Replica of a historical building in Shortlands. This could be the school, the train station or a church. These should be no larger than roughly an A4 size base.

Create a scrapbook of your walk Can you compare this to another area within London? When completing homework, we encourage you to be creative in your presentation, in order to deliver and share a piece of work which you are proud of. We will have two homework celebration dates.
