CAREERS SPECIAL! Our focus on careers means that students can start to think about how the subjects that they study at school are linked to jobs and careers later in life. There is a range of fun and engaging activities that have been happening and are coming soon to ensure that our students can make informed decisions now to influence their paths in the future.
What’s Next? Careers Fair As part of Careers Week 2023, BPS held its annual “What’s Next?” Careers Fair for all year groups. Over 20 employers and colleges attended, showing our students what their future could potentially look like. Great feedback was given including “it’s shown me all of my future careers options.”
National Apprenticeship Week Monday 6th – Friday 10th February Form time activities allowed students to find out about this alternative route to university which combines learning with hands-on on experience and getting paid in the process.
Birkenhead Sixth Form College Taster Day Year 11s went to spend a taster day at the College to see where they will be studying next year, observing A Level lessons while shadowing College students. They also had a tour of the campus and an interactive tutorial looking at careers.
