There are 6 spiral themes to the CHARACTER programme which run across year 7-11. Each theme is then broken down further to ensure compliance with DfE statutory RSE and Health guidelines, Gatsby benchmarks, PSHE association Core Themes and CDI Framework.. Staff will structure lessons around class and group discussion, reflection tasks and informative key knowledge. Students will self assess their learning at the start and end of each lesson so teachers can track progress. Teachers will then complete a RAG rated assessment at the end of each half term on individual students. The 6 spiral themes are: 1.Life Beyond School 2.Celebrating Diversity and Equality 3.Staying safe online and offline 4.Health and Wellbeing 5.Rights Responsibilities and British Values •College research and applications •Peer on peer bullying 6.Relationships and Sex Education
