Hello to all of the children joining our Reception Class after the summer holidays. I am Miss Wild and I will be your teacher when you start school in September. Alongside myself, is Mrs Bostock who will be helping you on your journey through Reception. I hope you all enjoyed our Stay n Play and our Teddy Bear Picnic in our Eco-Garden. I know there will be lots of chances for us to visit the garden again throughout the year and explore Forest School too. This is my second year at St. Stephen’s in Reception after teaching Reception and Nursery in previous schools. We have spoken to your Nurseries and parents/carers and asked lots of questions about you and all the things you love to do, so we can make sure to put lots of toys/activities out for September. We will be learning lots of new things in fun and exciting ways. We have listened and read about all your favourite things and we have decided to add them into our Topics for this year. So, we know there will definitely be something you can’t wait to learn about. Some of you may feel a little bit worried about coming to school for the first time or you might feel really excited. But please don’t worry too much, myself and Mrs Bostock cannot wait to welcome you into Reception and become a part of the St Stephen’s family. We are really looking forward to meeting you all.
