22nd December 2022 Dear Parent Carers Weekly Update – 22/12/22 I hope this update finds you well. We’ve finally made it to the end of term and the students and staff will soon have a very well deserved break! Tuesday’s Christmas Market and Winter Wondershow were exceptional – students worked hard to create products and refreshments to sell, and also performed in and produced a fantastic show. Thank you to all who supported and attended. The funds raised will top up class reward budgets which help support extra experiences and treats for students.
Christmas Door Winner I am delighted to announce that KS3KT were the winners of our annual Christmas Door Competition this year. This door won the competition as the students thought up the whole idea, and also led the design and created every bit of it. It is also interactive so all students can be involved in creating their own snowman. Safeguarding your children and young people during the holidays Our Safeguarding and Family Support team have put together the attached leaflet to help you identify any help that you may need should your circumstances change over the next few weeks. Marie and Emma have also been out and about delivering Christmas in a Box parcels and Presents donated by Gem FM to a number of our families. We appreciate that Christmas can be a tricky time, and so we hope that our support can be of some use. Farewell I would like to wish Paula Baggaley, our Food Technology Teacher, the very best as she embarks on a new journey away from St Martins. Paula has been with us for the last 6 and a half years and has made a fabulous contribution to life at school; firstly as a Teaching Assistant and then in Food Tech. Paula – thank you for all you have done in your roles – from the Asda shops, preparing food for events, and for your wonderfully caring nature. We will miss you!
