17th October 2025 Dear Parent Carers, Weekly Update: 17/10/25 I hope this update finds you well. Students and staff have had a great half term so far, and we are nearly ready for the half term break. As we are all starting to feel tired and the seasonal bugs start going around, we encourage families to maintain their health by being prepared, eating well and having enough vitamins, getting a decent amount of sleep, and having vaccinations where possible. This will hopefully make the difference, as nobody enjoys being poorly. Key Stage 4 Update Key Stage 4 have put a newsletter together to share what they’ve been up to since the start of the term – please find their news on the third page of the update. Mini Monster Marathon Don’t forget that it’s our Mini Monster Marathon and Creepy Craft Day on Wednesday 22nd October! Tickets are still available for both sessions for 50p per attendee. It would be great if students could wear Halloween fancy dress for a £1 donation – please ensure these are suitable for school and taking part in the Mini Marathon too! If arriving at school by car, please use the overflow parking which is accessed by turning left once you enter the school site – thanks for your support with this! *Timings of sessions*: Creepy Craft: 11:00am-11:45am (this is slightly earlier than advertised to support with students having an early lunch) Mini Monster Marathon: 1:00pm-2:20pm School Photograph Proofs Tempest Photography were in school yesterday to take portraits of the students in Years 7-11, as well as Martin and Hermann! The ‘proofs’ should arrive in school next week and will be sent home for ordering. Workshop at Heart of the Park Café Please find a poster later in the update for a Macrame Workshop that is taking place at the Heart of the Park Café on Monday 17th November. This is the first event of this type that we have hosted, and we hope that some of you will be able to attend – please share far and wide if you can.
