3rd October 2025 Dear Parent Carers, Weekly Update: 03/10/25 I hope this update finds you well. Over the next few weeks, we plan to share updates from the different Teams and Departments in school to give all families an overview of what we get up to at school! Firstly, the Family Support Team have put together an overview of the fantastic work that they do to support students in school and the family at home. Next week, Key Stage 3 will share an update from their department. We are sure that you will find this information useful.

Introduction to Family Support at St Martins School

At St Martins School, we believe in working closely with families to provide holistic support – this work is facilitated by our incredible Family Support Team. The team – Jess, Marie and Monika have put together a flyer to share information on what they are able to offer – this is further in the update. Family Support Coffee Mornings Throughout the year the Family Support Team host Coffee Mornings at St Martins. Each Coffee Morning has a different focus, giving us the chance to cover a wide range of themes including: – –

supporting wellbeing, keeping children safe online,

understanding how learning happens in the classroom.

We have planned several Coffee Mornings throughout the year which will have a focus on the following areas: – – –

Online Safety, Mental Health, Wellbeing/Zones of regulation,

– –

Futures focus Parent Carer social event at our café in Arboretum Park

The Team is really excited to deliver these sessions to you! We want these mornings to be informal, friendly, and supportive – so please grab a drink and join in the discussion as much or as little as you would like and take away whatever is most useful for you and your family. We always welcome feedback on our sessions, and themes for future sessions too. We aim for all sessions to provide useful information, practical tips, and, just as importantly, a space for you to ask questions and share your own experiences. It would be great to see you there!
