There are lots of free Christmas themed activities for families with pre-schoolers happening this December so please book quickly to avoid disappointment. We are also very excited to have Train Time sessions taking place – pre-schoolers can pretend to be a train driver and take their train on a journey around a room filled with tracks, bridges, tunnels and more. Ready Steady Wean is a brand new session led by the friendly and knowledgeable Community Nursery Nurses, who work as part of Sandwell's Health Visiting Team. They will provide parents with lots of useful information about how to wean baby safely and every parent that attends gets a free weaning starter pack. Visit the Supporting Sandwell hub and find out how Sandwell Council are supporting residents with the cost of living. This includes the ‘Warm Spaces’ initiative being run across the 6 towns. Libraries and other venues will provide a safe, warm and welcoming place for residents to go. Sandwell Parents for Disabled Children have a number of free activities taking place during December including the return of their Christmas party. Bookings MUST be sent to spdcbooking@sp-dc.org to avoid disappointment. Sandwell’s annual Safer 6 community safety partnership campaign is now on and runs until 11 December. It is Sandwell’s community safety partnership campaign aimed at raising awareness, boosting engagement with communities, tackling concerns and showcasing services and support available.
