Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) Children will be supported to: *Settle into school routines. *Begin to form new friendships. *Feel safe, secure and confident in the environment. *Become aware of and sensitive to, the needs of myself and of others. *Be encouraged to become increasingly more independent.
Expressive Arts & Design The children this term will be: *Creating a ‘feelings’ picture along to music, mixing colours and talking about how colours make us feel. *Painting self portraits thinking about their own facial features and the colours in which they use. *Using clay and develop skills to create a Diwali lamp. *Exploring the joining techniques in order to attach different materials together to use in own ideas. *Singing songs and creating their own *Developing storylines in role play situations.
Understanding the World: Children will be encouraged to talk about members of their immediate family and community. Children will learn that some places are special to members of their community and recognise that people have different beliefs and celebrate special times in different ways. Children will compare and contrast and will comment on images of familiar situations and situations that have happened in the past.
R.E
During our R.E sessions, the children will be looking at two topics ‘Where do we live and who lives there?’ and ‘what can we see in our wonderful world?’ linking to Harvest.
Physical Development During our P.E sessions, the children will be learning to travel in different ways, thinking about their own special awareness. Children will also be developing their gross motor and fine motor skills regularly indoor and outdoors and are encouraged to move with confidence. Children will also learn how to use a range of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
