Roose Community Primary School
Home/School Agreement ‘As a Caring Community, we learn and grow’. As a school we will:
Provide a caring community where we learn and grow together, following our school vision, aims and values. Provide high quality teaching and an engaging curriculum to meet the needs/interests of all children. Provide as much support as we can to help your child meet their full potential. Provide opportunities for your child to practise what they have learnt in school at home. Regularly share the progress of your child, through books being sent home, online reporting, regular parent consultation meetings and informal discussions. Provide a safe, stimulating and happy learning environment, school building and grounds. Enable your child to grow up to be the best person they can be through our School Values Education (see school website for details). Achieve high standards of behaviour by providing opportunities for children to develop positive social relationships, self-esteem and a sense of responsibility. Teach your child to develop a positive attitude to others. Respect the confidentiality of information regarding each child. Discuss any concerns we have about your child, with you. Provide information to you about our school, including relevant policies, meetings, workshops, and events by keeping our website up-to-date, emailing regular updates and newsletters and providing information via text and through Seesaw (our online learning App).
As Parents and Carers we will:
Make sure our child attends school and arrives at school by 8:45am. Make sure we collect our child on time at 3.15pm each day. Ensure our child wears the full and correct uniform for school and has the school PE kit and footwear in school. Ensure our child does not wear jewellery to school, except simple stud earrings for pierced ears and that our child does not attend school with dyed/bleached hair, unless invited to. Inform us each day by telephone, if our child is too unwell to attend school. Aim for our child to have an attendance of 95% or higher. Let the school know of any concerns or worries that may be affecting my child’s learning, behaviour or ability to do home learning, as school may be able to help. Support our school Vision, aims and Values-based education – as found on our website. Communicate with school and attend meetings with my child’s teacher and other staff, aiming to be positive and productive, working towards moving my child on in their learning.
