Autumn Term 2022

Message from Adele—Head Teacher As we approach the end of our autumn term back, I would like to start by thanking you for all your support over the past term , getting your children smartly dressed in their school uniform and getting them in to school every day – what a term it has been! Our new staff and students have settled in well and are a great addition to our Pioneer House family. I am so proud of them all! I am delighted by the achievements of staff and our wonderful students, many of which you will read about in the newsletter. Students have been making progress over the term due to their very hard work and teachers’ excellent teaching. We have had the opportunity to have visitors in school again and our students have been about to venture out and about—such an important part of their learning experiences! I hope you enjoy reading our newsletter and sharing some of our successes, as staff and students work together to develop and build our strong and successful school. I would like to finish by saying a heartfelt thank you to all members of our school community for your ongoing support, commitment, teamwork and kindness this term. In particular, the students themselves – our common focus- should be commended for their incredible resilience and their endless positivity. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season with your children and a happy, healthy and peaceful 2023.

Merry Christmas from our school dog Ruby. ‘Extensive research has shown that the presence of a dog can have a positive impact on physiology and psychology and so help to reduce stress levels’.

What is a Christmas tree's favourite candy? Orna-mints!
