Current value/attribute: Thoughtfulness Mrs. Quigley’s weekly message: I cannot believe we are entering the final week of this school year. I don't know about you, but I feel it has just flown by. There has been lots to celebrate and today you will have received your child's report. I am so proud of every child in school and the work they have completed this year. We really do have lots of amazing children in Park Road!

The musical showcase was such a lovely event on Monday, and I enjoyed seeing the children perform, teach us a little about the different countries and really demonstrate the values of collaboration, practice and creativity. Next week we have a number of events taking place, and I wanted to highlight these to you. On Monday we have a PE experience day in school. The whole school will take part in different types of physical activities, some of which will be new experiences I'm sure. All children need to come into school in their PE kit for the day. On Tuesday, we are hoping to have our Sports Day. As the weather has been against us on the first 2 attempts, we are going to do this as a whole school afternoon event. This is because, if we do get out but the weather then turns, we will be able to have everyone compete in at least one race. Gates will open at 1 pm, with the races starting from 1:15 pm. Once the event is over, children will be dismissed in the same way as the musical showcase this week. Again, children should wear their PE kits. Both of these events will replace usual PE days in all classes, so PE kits will not need to be worn again this year following this. Wednesday is Open Parents Evening, where you can come and discuss your child's report with the current teacher and if you wish, attend a short presentation for 'Meet the Teacher' for your child's new teacher. Although there is a set time for 'Meet the Teacher', report discussion is when suits you between 3:30 pm and 5 pm. The timetable is on the next page and teachers will upload presentations to Seesaw in the new year if this isn't something you can attend this week. Finally, on the last day children can come to school wearing something that makes them happy, or shows off their wonderful unique style. As always, please make sure it's suitable for school and playing out throughout the day. School closes for summer at 2 pm. Have a lovely weekend, and please everyone keep your fingers crossed for good weather next week! See you Monday! Mrs Q
