The value for this half term is Year 6 SATs Well done to Year 6 for their positive and mature attitudes towards their SATs. We have been proud of the way they have conducted themselves during the exams—you are all amazing! Year 3 Class Assembly Next week it will be Year 3’s Class Assembly on Thursday 19 May at 2.50 pm. Parents, carers and family members are invited to come along to watch. The KS2 gate will be opened at 2.45 pm and the Class Assembly will start at 2.50 pm. Chicken/Guinea Rota As our chickens are now out of lockdown, we are sending home a plea to ask for help to look after our chickens and guinea pigs out of school hours. We will usually only need help at the weekends and over the holidays. The chickens are very good at going to bed when tempted with a tasty snack! If you feel you would be able to help out at all, please let us know by replying to the letter that was sent home in the bookbags today. Full training will be given and support will be available. Thank you.

* COOPERATION*

Parent Forum At the Parent Forum this week, there was a query raised about reading. We are planning to send out further guidance and hold presentations/ workshops in the new academic year to ensure school’s reading strategy is clearly communicated and understood, allowing both school and parents to support children in a consistent way. Feedback was also given regarding attendance and the weekly reporting. School is keen to celebrate good attendance and will report it termly from now as a child’s absence due to illness will impact more on a class’ attendance over a short period. Class Photographs On Tuesday 17 May, the photographer will be in school to take class group photographs. All children should come to school in their school uniform on that day (the PE times will be moved to another day and the teachers will contact you separately to confirm the revised PE day).
