Value of the half term: Young Voices Event A date for your diary…. this school year, we are really excited to let you know that our school choir will be taking part in Young Voices 2023 at Manchester Arena. This is a nationwide event, with 1000s of children from all over the country performing together in arenas around the country. Our children will be going to Manchester Arena to take part in the performance on 30th January 2023. They will join children from schools all over the North West taking part in a marathon singing performance. All the participating choirs are registered, have received the songs and music that they need to learn and are currently learning and practicing to get ready for the big night when they will all come together to raise the roof! Half the arena will be filled with the children and half will be allocated to parents, families and members of the public to come and watch and be part of this magical event.
Friendship
We have taken part in this event in previous years and it is a really unique and magical experience. Ms Akinyemi tells us she still gets goosebumps when she thinks about Young Voices which she took part in when she was at primary school. She tells us it was one of her best memories from her primary school years and she can still remember every moment. Tickets will go on sale shortly for parents, families, friends – anyone who wishes to be part of this one-off event. T-shirts are also going to be available to buy and more details will follow about how you can purchase both tickets and the t-shirts. If your child is taking part, please support them in practicing the songs at home and singing along with them - for more information and resources, there is a parents section on the Young Voices website so please have a look at www.youngvoices.co.uk. We still have a few places available in our choir so if your child is in Y4-6, and they would like to join the choir and take part, please sign up on ParentPay.
