Unique Individuals Learning Together Mrs. Quigley’s weekly message:
Thank you so much to everyone who attended our Parents’ Evening this week. It was truly wonderful to welcome you into school and share the progress and achievements of your children. The atmosphere was incredibly positive and we’re grateful for the time you took to engage with staff and celebrate learning.
We’ve received a fantastic response to our feedback form, with a vast number of positive comments about the school, staff and your children’s experiences. Your support means so much to us. Next week, I’ll be sharing a few of the development points raised and how we plan to address them together.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the PFA AGM. It was a well-attended and uplifting event. I’d like to extend special thanks to Kelly, Jade, and Cassie, who have worked tirelessly not just this year, but over many years to grow the PFA and support our school. Much of our outdoor development, including the Forest School, pond area and polytunnel, is thanks to their incredible fundraising efforts. We really wouldn’t have such a fantastic space for learning without them.
I’m pleased to introduce our new PFA team next week via our social media page, so please keep an eye out! In the meantime, here are the new roles:
Chair: Lottie (Arthur Y2) Vice Chairs: Kelly (Ted Y1, Eliott Y2, Lyla Y4) and Laura (Charlie Y2) Secretary: Amy (Archie Y2, Isla Y5) Treasurer: Rob (Heidi Y1, Eva Y4) Committee Members: Laura (Hunter Y2), Kim (Zoë Y2) and Maxine (Spencer Y2)
I know you’ll all join me in giving them a warm welcome and offering your support where you can.
Next week is Anti-Bullying Week, and Mrs Oakes has arranged for us to take part in Odd Socks Day on Monday. Teachers will be providing lots of learning opportunities around this important theme and we’ll be sharing updates on Seesaw throughout the week.
Finally, if your child is in Year 3 or Year 4, they will be performing to the school on Tuesday afternoon at 2:40 pm. We’d love for you to join us if your child is involved. The KS2 gate will open at 2:35 pm for entry to the hall.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday. Mrs Quigley
The Picture News topic for next week is …
‘What would you tell world leaders if you were at COP30?’
The 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP30, will be held in Belém, Brazil, from Monday 10 to Friday 21 November. At the meeting, country leaders and experts will discuss how to protect the planet by reducing pollution, saving forests and working together. After the meeting, countries will need to share how they will keep the climate promises they made, and stay on target to meet their goals.
Each COP summit picks a primary theme for talks to focus on, in the past, they have looked at Fossil Fuels and ‘finance’ (looking at providing $300 billion per year) by 2035 to help countries in the Global South tackle climate change.
Schools, communities and young people will continue to take part by sharing ideas, taking action locally and reminding leaders that children’s voices matter for our planet’s future.
Things to talk about at home:
* Talk to someone at home about what they know about COP30.
* What do you know about climate change?
* If you could speak to the leaders at the COP30 what would you say?

Flu Immunisations
We have received information from parents that it is possible for children to have their flu immunisations in the community now. The Living Well Bus offers vaccinations and you can find out where it is through the following link https://www.warrington.gov.uk/living-wellbus?sfnsn=scwspmo
Well done to you both for giving your time up to help!
Data Collection Sheets
Thank you to everyone who has sent back their data sheets to school.
If you haven’t returned your sheet yet, please could you carefully check it and either mark any changes on the sheet or sign it as checked and return it to the school office by Monday 10 November.
It is very important that this data is up to date because it is needed for many tasks such as contacting you or using the information in an emergency, sending out information such as school reports etc.
Thank you.
PFA AGM
It is with great pleasure that I can announce this year's AGM was a roaring success with a fantastic turn out and an even more impressive cohort of trustees now signed up to take on the PFA and bring back some of our much loved events, and maybe even some new ones.
It has been a pleasure to chair the PFA for the past 7 years and although the last 2 years have dealt some challenging times, our achievements outshine them all.
During the AGM I expressed my gratitude to all the parents and staff for their support in the running of our events. I also expressed how saddened I was to have to cancel events last year, I personally felt I had done a dis-service to the charity in the past 12 months and was digging deep for a miracle that we could bring back the magic that once oozed through our community. We had a fantastic response from interested parents and after a little persuading we now have a full 7 person committee to take on the challenge.
Although I was happy to stand for chairperson (if needed), it was agreed across the board for the position to be filled by Lottie, a year 2 mum. Lottie has ample experience with organising events and is really passionate about providing great opportunities for the children to enhance their learning experiences.
I will still be involved in a shared vice-chair role, offering my experiences, sharing my knowledge and providing guidance during the next 12 months, fulfilling any duties to help make the transition of committee members as smooth as possible and aid a successful handover of the charity.
I am extremely proud of our achievements and the improvements we have made to the learning environment, not just for our children but all future children that join our wonderful school. My proudest accomplishment will always be the huge amount of work and resources we flooded into the outdoor learning area with the wonderful sensory garden. We then extended this into the forest school area with a secondary extension into the pond area (still under construction).
I’d like you all to welcome Lottie and the rest of the team with the same energy that I was welcomed with when I took on the role. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone and I am very excited for the year ahead.
Thank you to Jade, who was quite literally my right arm some days, and to everyone else for your support over the years, together we achieved great things and it was an experience I’ll be forever grateful for.
I am sure you will join me in wishing the new team all the luck for their future fundraising.

Message from St John’s Ambulance Badger Units
We have 2 units in Warrington: Bewsey Badgers that runs every Tuesday 17:30-18:45 and Warrington badgers that runs every Thursday 17:45-18:45, both units are for children aged 5-11 years old and based in Bewsey.
Whilst at St John Ambulance all badgers will learn first aid throughout the year as well as other topics e.g. performance badger, eco badger, community badger and caring badger to name a few. Each topic we teach earns them a certificate and a badge for them to wear on their uniform, we aim to help them achieve 3 badges a year. Every 3 badges will earn them a bronze badge, then silver and finally Super badger award, this is the highest award a badger can achieve. At the end of the year, we aim to hold a presentation evening to show all these achievements.
We will fill each session with lots of fun including games and crafts helping them learn life skills and meet new friends. They will also have lots of opportunities to attend activity days on some weekends and residentials throughout the year.
To learn more and sign up parents can click on the link below and sign up for either Bewsey badgers or Warrington badgers.
