Unique Individuals Learning Together
Mrs. Quigley’s weekly message:
It’s hard to believe we’ve only been back for 13 school days time has flown! It already feels like everyone has settled beautifully into their new classrooms. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting classes this week and have been so impressed by the wonderful learning taking place. Our new Reception class is a hive of activity, working hard on phonics, name writing and early maths.
We’ve also had the exciting task of electing our new team leaders. Mrs Roberts and I were privileged to interview our Year 6 applicants, and we were blown away by their passion, ideas and confidence. Across school, class teachers felt the same - it was a joy to hear how the children want to help to make our school even better. Our new leaders were announced in assembly today, and I know they’ll do a fantastic job. Meeting dates will be shared soon, so please keep an eye out.
A quick update on our PFA AGM: due to a diary clash, this will now take place on Tuesday 4 November at 2:30 pm. This time has been chosen to make it easier for parents and friends to join us before the end-of-day rush. On the next page, there are details of the roles available and how you can get involved. This year, we’re hoping to form two committees - one for events and one for fundraising - so there are flexible ways to help, even if time is tight. We’ll also be electing our executive committee (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and three Trustees). We need at least 14 attendees for the AGM to go ahead and of course, some willing volunteers, there will be a teams link for those not able to attend in person and yes there will be cake and a hot drink waiting for you! Please let us know if you can attend by completing the forms link sent out with the update on Seesaw.
Our key dates for the year are being shared today please take a moment to save a copy and check out the exciting events ahead!
Did you know we have a school Facebook and Instagram account?
We post regularly to share updates, celebrate achievements, and showcase the wonderful things happening in our school community. If you haven’t followed us yet, we’d love for you to join us online! We’ll soon be promoting our school in preparation for admissions for September 2026, and your support whether through likes, shares or comments would mean a lot. The more people who hear about our fantastic school, the better.
As always, have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you at 8:35am when gates open on Monday. Mrs Quigley
The Picture News topic for next week is …
‘Can anyone break a record if they try hard enough?’

Guinness World Records is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. The book was first published in 1955, and is now sold in over 100 countries. Each year, it collects unusual and amazing records, from the fastest runners to the tallest buildings and silliest challenges. To mark its birthday, the ‘global authority’ on record-breaking achievements shared some records that no one has tried yet and is encouraging people to have a go.
Things to talk about at home:
Ask someone at home whether they are familiar with the Guiness World Records. What records can they recall?
Discuss the skills required to break records eg hard work and ability.
Think about something you would like to get better at this year. What goal could you set and how might you achieve it? Share with someone at home.
