Autumn Term Basketball Netball Football Thematic: What is the covenant? Students will learn about Abraham and how teachings link across Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

Rugby Hockey Gymnastics Christianity: Who was Jesus? Looking at the life of Jesus and events that took place in order to investigate his divine nature.

SPIES Create a range of Transactional Writing pieces within the theme of Spies. The tasks will include letters, leaflets, reports and reviews.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING Study their first full Shakespeare play, Much Ado About Nothing. They will analyse plot, character and language and examine the context around when the play was written.

How did Britain become the powerhouse of the world? Students will study how the Industrial Revolution changed Britain. Topics will include factory conditions, the growth of towns and the impact on transport. Living conditions in Ormskirk will also be studied.

Spanish

Where I live Pupils will learn to describe their house as well as what their dream home would be like. They will also describe their daily routine and what chores they do at home. We will also have the opportunity to explore cultural traditions of Spanish speaking countries during Christmas.

Was Britain built on the blood of others? Students will study Africa pre-colonisation and then study the causes and consequences of the slave trade. The impact on Ormskirk and the role Liverpool will also be examined.
