Congratulations to Year 7 pupils who were award winners this week.

On Wednesday 19th November we took a group of 25 KS2 pupils up to Frome Sports centre to compete in a KS2 Athletics Festival. The competition was organised and run by Year 13 Frome Community College pupils.

Pupils took part in an array of different athletic activities and fun was had by all. Pupils were divided into 6 groups and accumulated points for each activity. We managed to secure the top score in 4 of the groups and these pupils were given a certificate. A massive well done to Arlan and Harrison joint in their group, Jude, Freddie and Alfie.

A huge well done to all involved.

Doodle English & Doodle Spell

On Monday, KS2 welcomed a visitor from Doodle Learning who explained all about how to make the most out of Doodle English and Spell. The children were reminded to log onto Doodle each day to complete their 5 daily star tasks, so that they can remain in the green zone. A reminder, KS2 are encouraged to reach and stay in the green zone each week as part of their homework.

UK Parliament Week

This week both KS2 and KS3 participated in Parliament Week 2025. In their history lessons they spent the week doing activities and tasks to help further their understanding of parliament, our government and our British Values.

Ten achievement points on offer for those enthusiastic runners by completing PARK RUN at The Old Showfield, Saturday 9am. One pupil has achieved their silver badge while many others are close behind. It is a 5,000m run organised by volunteers in our community. There aren’t many rules, but do take a moment to read them on the Park Run website, where you can also register.
