Somerset County Council Public Health Team would like your feedback on a letter. This will help them improve the feedback they give to parents as part of the National Child Measurement Programme. WHAT EXACTLY IS THE LAW ? The current law is clear: you cannot ride on an e-scooter on a UK public road, cycle lane or pavement. YOU CAN HOWEVERE RIDE THEM ON…. Private land with the landowner’s permission. IF YOU ARE STOPPED BY THE POLICE The scooter can be seized and destroyed! You could be liable prosecution for driving without insurance!
