Geography: We will be identifying different locations involving the Titanic. Where it was built, where it set sail from and where it was heading. We will be looking at longitude and latitude and mapping out the ship’s course.
English: This half term we will be looking at writing a biography, writing a diary entry as one of the passengers on board the Titanic as well as writing a nonchronological report about the Titanic and the sinking. The children will then write their own survival stories.
Year 6 Half-term 2: ‘Survivors’ Science: Animals including humans -identify and name the main parts of the human circulatory system, and describe the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood -recognise the impact of diet, exercise, drugs and lifestyle on the way their bodies function -describe the ways in which nutrients and water are transported within animals, including humans
Music: Mr Hall from Wellfield will be returning and will be teaching the children how to play the keyboards to learn a variety of different songs.
