English: This half term we will read the novel “The Incredible adventures of Professor Branestawn” We will be looking at be using the novel as our theme during our writing and we will also be writing and participating in debates.
Year 5 Summer 1: ‘Shang Dynasty’ History: This half term in history we will be focusing on the ancient China and the Shang dynasty. Discovering what life was like, their Gods and their lasting effect on history. Geography: Our main focus in Geography this half term will be using an eight points of a compass, four and six-figure grid references, symbols and key (including the use of Ordnance Survey maps) to build their knowledge of the United Kingdom and China.
Science: This term we will be focusing and investigating animals and living things. We will be looking into different habitats, environmental changes and the different classifications of animals. As well as investigating how humans change as they get older.
