English: This term we will continue our work on persuasion, creating our own persuasive adverts. We will then learn about balanced arguments and debate linked to our environment and habitat topics. Finally we will share the text ‘Who let the God’s Out’ which will support our learning in History and Geography. Maths: This half term we will learn about… Measure – Time – - analogue and digital time - - 24hr time - Telling the time to 5mins - Seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months Statistics - Interpreting charts - Line graphs Properties of Shapes - Turns and Angles - Lines of symmetry We must also know all times table facts

Science: Living things and their Habitats During this half term we will learn about food chains and animal survival, predators and prey. We will learn that living things can be grouped in a variety of ways and explore and use classification keys to help group, identify and name a variety of living things. We will find out about how environments can change and that this can sometimes pose dangers to living things. Man made changes such as pollution and environmental changes.

Year 4 Summer Half-term 2: ‘Ancient Greece’ History and Geography - Through this topic we will investigate the geography of Greece and the evidence discovered that tells us about the past. We will learn about life in Athens during the Classical period , democracy and the life of men and women and compare that to the City State Sparta. We will consider the Ancient Greeks influence on the world today, medicine, arts and culture, architecture and the ancient and modern Olympic Games.
