Maths: Our focus this half term in Maths will start with multiplication. We will revisit our 2, 5 and 10 times tables from last year. Then we will then move onto 3, 4 and 8 times tables. Following on from doing exchanging in addition and subtraction we will use these skills in multiplication.
RE: We are continuing to learn about Christianity and what Christians believed it meant to be a disciple of Jesus. We will look at the qualities of a strong leader and investigate the work of a Christian organisation that helps those in need.
English: English will start by looking at leaflets and designing our own leaflet, starting to use persuasive writing. We will then continue our learning by writing a letter to one of our favourite Authors to convince them to come to our school. Later in this half term we will look at different poems and compare them.
Year 3 Half Term 3/Spring 1: Science: This half term in science we will look at soil, having a look at what is in soil and how samples from different areas can be different. We will then move on to looking at forces including friction and magnetism.
P.E: Physical Education will be lead by our sport partners at West Lancashire Sports Partnership. P.E. will be on Thursday and Fridays. They will be focusing on striking and fielding games and defence games.
Computing: In computing we will be looking at spreadsheets, how they are made, what information we can put into them. We will then begin to look at touch typing.
