We can’t wait to see your work. Science How many different sources of light can you think of? What sources of light are there inside and outside of your house? Can you explain how the source gives of the light?
Maths Using a jug and water measure the capacity things around your house. E.g. bowls, vases, cups, pans and dishes.
Geography Make a fact file using pictures, maps and information for either a hurricane, earthquake or tsunami.
English Create your own character using the iron man as inspiration (e.g. stone man or tree woman) Describe what they look like, how they move and where they are.
Spellings Look through your reading book. Find some words that you don’t know the meaning of. Look up their meaning, write out the definition and write your own sentence using the tricky words.
Science Use a torch and a toy, e.g. Lego person, to make a shadow. Draw around the shadows, see if you can make different size shadows by moving the toy. Label each drawing letting me know how far away the toy was from the light.
Geography Make a model globe. What extreme events happen where in the world? Can you identify the different hemispheres and the equator?
Spanish Draw a fruit bowl and label all the fruits in Spanish.
PSHE Write an e-mail describing who it is safe to send an e-mail to and what information is safe to send in an email.
English Write a diary entry for every day for a week. Include what you did and describe what happened and how it made you feel.
Maths Use a tape measure or ruler to measure items around your home. Take pictures and make a list of all the different measurements. Remember to use meters, centimetres or millimetres. Test the teacher Choose one of our subjects for this half term and create a quiz for Miss Jackson to answer.
